Hopper Coffee — Restaurant in London

So I have been visiting this coffee shop for a while now. The coffee is amazing my favourite pastel de natas are delicious and a staff are always cheerful and polite. Apart from one staff member. Several months ago have made a comment on the way she puts a lid on the coffee, whole palm over the mouth hole, so unhygienic, which made her really unhappy and she didn't take it well. Since then I was always greeted with sideway looks and she would never smile, I always sensed some unaccomodating negativity for that one pretty legitimate comment. And today she topped it up for me for not allowing me to grab a pastry myself, insisting on assisting me and made it look like I'm doing something so ridiculously against the rules, where in reality she just needed to show me her authority. Well decent place now lost a regular customer for the LACK OF BASIC HOSPITALITY MINDSET from staff. I recommend her reading Will Guidara - Unreasonable Hospitality to understand the whole dynamic within the service industry. Really nice coffee, just a shame about the welcome and exit. First walked in and was not greeted by the barista, however the taller chap (sorry I didn’t get your name) welcomed us in and took our orders. When we were leaving, the drinks were given to us by the ‘moody’ barista and when we asked for a sleeve, he just rudely pointed it then. If you don’t like your job, leave! I have been going to Hopper for several years. It used to be very busy and there was a jovial environment (pre-lockdown). I have enjoyed all my purchases. On my first visit of 2025, I was shocked to find new baristas, no loyalty card and I wasn't given a discount for using my own cup!
