The restaurant name means 'Sun', and you'll want to bask in its light. Do not come here for a rushed meal; this is not fast food. Food is made to order and it's worth taking your time to enjoy it. We came in for the first time on a Saturday evening without a reservation because we were hungry and in the area and I love Lebanese food. We were greeted like old friends and fortunate enough to be seated quickly. The menu is a full offering of a taste of Lebanon. The hardest part of choosing is deciding which of the many options to order, as each sounds better than the one before. In the picture we have hot mezze 27 Lamb Sambousik (lamb parcels), 31 Kellaj (cheese bread), and cold mezze 05 Moutabbal Babaghanoush. Absolutely divine. We ordered mix grills which came with lettuce, tomato, a grilled shallot, a yoghurt(?) sauce, and vermicelli rice, which I'd recommend generally over fries. There was an absolute abundance of food, all of it absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the kenafa/knafeh and requested the maamoul to go, as they also listed on Deliveroo so we knew they had takeaway boxes and we didn't want to pass up dessert later on account of being full at the end of the meal. Sadly, I forgot to try the Lebanese aperitif at the end, but that's one for next time! The staff were all incredibly friendly. The head waiter speaks several languages, including English and French and spoke fluently to customers in each (even indulging my own French attempts), and is a joy to interact with. I wish I had more photographs of the food to share, but I don't, because the food looked so good that we dived into eating it and I completely forgot to take photos. Please trust me when I say that everything was divine. The man at the table behind us said it was the best meal he'd eaten in a year; the table next to us couldn't finish all their food but they were also so delighted that they spoke to the chef, who was also impossibly friendly. We look forward to a future visit when we're next in the area.

Sublime food and impeccable service! We opted for a few different dishes and sides (pictured) all of which did not disappoint. Firstly, the meat across all dishes was fresh and cooked perfectly. I have historically found that with a mixed grill the meat can be somewhat dry - not in this instance! I cannot rate each meat highly enough, simply sublime! The additional lamb dish we had was equally fantastic. Secondly, the starters/sides were all fantastic; from the rice, to the hummus. The Tabouli is mentioned in its own right as it too was sublime and is certainly the best we have had in London. The service was fantastic and I commend all the staff on their friendly and helpful approach. Lastly, it was great value for money. I highly recommend a visit guys, you won’t be disappointed.

Five of us (adults) had a long mid-week lunch here, each choosing two mezzes each to share. We had hummus, grilled halloumi, halloumi in bread, two aubergine dishes, falafels, chicken wings, beans and tomato and padron peppers. All were very tasty and good sized portions, and came with enough pita bread, which was light and thin. We had a bottle of the house red and house white, both of which were good and reasonably priced for central London. We tried the Lebanese and Beirut beers, but they were fairly ordinary lagers. Service was unhurried, which was fine by us, and helpful and friendly. Our waiter took a photo of us when asked as we wanted a memory of the occasion. The decor is understated but pleasant, and it was busy even for a Tuesday lunchtime.

During my dining experience, every single item was cooked with great care and attention to detail, reflecting the rarity of such dedication. The mixed grill was particularly delightful, especially the lamb chop, which was done to perfection. Even something as simple as a side order of spicy potato impressed me with its careful preparation, resulting in a nice texture. Additionally, the arayess stood out as an excellent dish, highlighting the value of great quality in even the simplest offerings.

Moreover, I had the pleasure of meeting the chef Charbel and the owner Rabih, who proved to be an excellent host throughout my visit. He was incredibly hospitable and passionate about the food they served. Their warmth and attentiveness made the dining experience memorable and enjoyable. From the moment I stepped in, they greeted me with a genuine smile and made me feel instantly welcomed. Throughout my meal, they showed a remarkable level of attentiveness, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Their passion for the carefully crafted dishes and the effort they put into maintaining quality standards were truly impressive. The owner's personal touch and dedication added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, creating a friendly and convivial atmosphere. It felt like I was not just a customer, but a guest in their home, which made the whole experience even more memorable and special. Their exceptional hosting skills truly complemented the delicious food and elevated the overall experience to one I...

My wife and I happened to be in London on our 37th wedding anniversary while traveling through Europe. Having read such outstanding reviews and having a craving for Lebanese, we decided to head over to Camisse. The restaurant has a front and rear sitting area. We chose to be seated in the front area near the entrance. We were immediately and politely welcomed by the waitress and owner. The service and food was second to none as far as my international experience with Lebanese cuisine. After having completed my meal, Rabih (owner) came over and acknowledged our anniversary and gave us complementary drinks and dessert. While finishing up our dinner, there was an unfortunate medical emergency at the table next to us. Having a medical background, I asked whether I could intervene and help. The family accepted and all was handled in an appropriate and profession manner. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Mr Rabih Moufarej and his staff for their calm, appropriate and professional manner in which it was all handled. I also send out my heartfelt get well wishes to the couple of this unfortunate incident. I would definitely recommend this restaurant with...
