Humphry's Cafe — Restaurant in London

I live locally so come to the park often. Sadly each time I visit the cafe I'm let down one way or another.

"Tills aren't ready yet" at 10am. - I left empty handed as I was there for a guided walk "Drinks aren't cold yet", "we've run out of juices" - offered some cordial that was diluted with regular (warm) tap water and charged for it, "the sandwiches have all gone bad" - at 4pm on a Wednesday.

The above are all on separate days, and that's all in the recent past, I could have gone on.

I keep giving them a chance because it's the only cafe in the park but each time I am left disappointed by the lack of management/planning. I originally thought it was because they were new but they've been open for years now.

The staff are friendly and funny if a bit slow, but at the end of the day I'm there to get a drink or some food not to...

Great place, can get busy, great for us dog walkers as in park all year round. Not just summer months. Just shame dogs on leads inside. In past been in when alot of kids and books left all over place even on floor. Now changing star rating, due to now saying dogs on leads outside, as they need to keep door open. So will be not be supporting cafe. Need to be fenced off then, and kids also restraint dangerous when carrying hot coffee kids running in front of you. Us dog walkers that supported to get cafe in first place and residents that use park all year round. Not organised always running out of food and dog ice cream, sausages for dogs over priced, changing hours from early to 9 am . We usually spend £15 most mornings not any more. Unfortunately by the time we got there at 4 they were already half closed eventhough closing times are at 5 on a Sunday. We had a very long bike journey from Tottenham but since everything was packed away they didn't give us anything to eat which was strange BC one of the guys behind the counter was making like 300 sandwiches. And they've "ran" out of everything. So no earl grey no full fat milk no food. Even though the full fat milk was literally on the counter. I understand that you wanna close after a long week but rather then this uncomfortable mess just lock the door if you had a good weeks of wages you don't need the 12 pounds that might come in in the last hour.
