A complete disaster. It is sad, I had been 3 times before and, although the service was never great, I always enjoyed the food. However, this time was a disaster.

I booked a table for 5. They put us on only 2 tables very tight but that is fine. The problem started when , after a few minutes, they asked one of us to stand up so they could open the cupboard where they kept extra glasses. Yes, they put our table right on the cupboard. This happened 5 times throughout the dinner, one of us had to move 5 times while eating so the waiters could get the glasses. Not nice at all.

Khachapuri took 1h. I have been to many Georgian restaurants and I am aware that some dishes take long but they only realised how long it was taking when I ask them about the dish. The waiter looked confused and went to check. After a few minutes it arrived, more than 1h after ordering.

Towards the end, I asked for desserts and a couple of digestives, the two waiters looked at each other and told us that we have to leave because there was another booking coming(what?!?!). This was very uncomfortable, none of us were told about this and no notice was given at all. The waiter blamed it on the first of us who had arrived earlier saying thay he had informed us. We politely said that we did not get informed and thay he might be mistaken but he kept blaming us saying that he did. He also mentioned that the table is reserved for only 2h but nothing was ever mentioned on their website or booking. We had been there for just 1.30h but he said that it was 2h because one of us arrived slightly earlier. He said that we can order but as soon as the next booking arrives we have to stand up snd leave regardless of whether we had finished eating. Absolutely shocking.

The waiters went then ahead and ignored us for a few minutes and ignored our order. A colleague finally came and apologized (the first apology all evening) and offered us extra time and a dessert on the house. However the night was ruined and while having dessert they disturbed again to take more glasses from the cupboard.

I will never go back to this restaurant. We travelled 1h to get some clients out for a dinner and the experience was horrible.

There are better Georgian restaurants in London with better...

we had a fantastic dinner at Iberia, where I was able to satisfy my Georgian food craving I’ve had since leaving Kyiv. the Georgian kitchen is really stellar and worth exploring if you haven’t tried it before. we ordered some classic dishes to share but everything on the menu was clearly authentic, so if you are unfamiliar, just ask the staff, they will be more than happy to recommend and guide you!

we were able to try some different wines and i took a glass of the khvanchkara tavankari, which is one of the tastiest wines i’ve ever had. for me it felt sweeter than semi-sweet, but it went so well with the savoury dishes, and felt light on the tongue. the others preferred the kindzmarauli which is also sweet but more full-bodied and spiced.

the khachapuri imeruli is a necessary starter in my family tradition, so of course we ordered it! it was perfect, the cheese blend is so salty and soft, and the bread is tenderly baked.

the hot meze for two was also a delight, particularly the mushrooms and the bellpeppers. the beans felt a bit simple but it was good nonetheless.

the khinkali with beef and pork were also flawless, with a succulent brothy filling, and the herbs lifted the flavour of the mince inside. simply amazing.

we had a variety of three desserts to try as well, the honey cake had an ideal flavour of honey but it was a little too dense. i also really liked the grape jelly, which had a good sour flavour reminiscent of a fruit-roll-up. the walnut pastry was also well-balanced but not my favourite, i prefer more moist desserts.

overall the experience was homely, comfortable, and delectable. i would love to come back and try some dishes outside of my usual Georgian...

Iberia is an absolute gem that transports you straight to the heart of Georgia without leaving the UK. From the moment you step inside, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The décor is a perfect blend of traditional and modern, with tasteful touches that evoke the rich culture of Georgia. The food is the star of the show at Iberia. Every dish is a celebration of authentic Georgian flavors, crafted with care and passion. The khachapuri is simply divine—rich, cheesy, and perfectly baked. The khinkali are a must-try, bursting with savory goodness in every bite. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients, and the flavors are both bold and comforting.

The wine selection at Iberia deserves special mention. They offer a fantastic variety of Georgian wines, which beautifully complement the dishes. The staff are knowledgeable and eager to help you choose the perfect pairing for your meal.

Service at Iberia is top-notch. The staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about sharing the Georgian culinary experience. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are happy to explain the menu and make recommendations.

Overall, Iberia is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. Whether you’re familiar with Georgian cuisine or trying it for the first time, you’re in for a treat. I can’t recommend Iberia enough for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Georgian food in the UK. I’ll definitely be...

Edit: Went back for a second time and it was still great. I was so impressed with this restaurant and with our waitress! Food: 5/5 I've never eaten Georgian food before so I can't vouch on the authenticity, but the flavours were great. We asked our waitress for recommendations and ordered everything she recommende. Everything was great! Big portions too. There wasn't a thing I wouldn't order again. We ordered aubergines in walnut sauce, cheese stuffed bread, bean stew and dumplings and everything was delicious and flavourful - I couldn't get enough! We also had a honeycomb cake but I forgot to take a picture. The cake was also very good, not too sweet! Service: 5/5 Our waitress was an absolute gem. We got seated in a small table close to the door and she moved us in a bigger table away from the door. She was absolutely lovely, and recommended excellent dishes to us. All in all great experice, my impression of Georgia food so far is that it's the perfect comfort food I would definitely recommend visiting in autumn/winter and coming with 4 people at least, so you can try different dishes because the portions will fill you up, we couldn't finish everything on our home. We'll be back to try other dishes and hope we'll have the same waitress and a repetition of this great experience. Well done!
