KFC Orpington - High Street — Restaurant in London

Update July 2025. Still my favourite place. The things mentioned below are still true..I am always welcomed as a valued client and made to feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and a calm refuge to relax and enjoy a lovely time. The having of a disabled accessible toilet is a massive bonus in this part of town, along with the baby change table. The staff are lovely and very kind and take care of you. They take their lead from their lovely manager who is kind with a keen eye for detail. You can see that they are happy because they are smiling and enjoy their work. I can't praise the team and their manager highly enough.

As before, it is always a pleasure to eat here. My experiences are always positive and the staff are kind and friendly. The food is always hot and fresh. Even if something was not up to mark, I would mention it and it would be fixed immediately. The dining areas is kept clean and well presented. (Tables kept cleaned and the bins emptied regularly).The toilets are always kept clean and well presented. The disabled toilet has a child / baby changing table which works. The staff are kind and helpful and treat me as a valued client. I could not be happier with this restaurant. Update: still top notch. Still lovely staff. Update June..still top notch service..kind and proactive staff who take their lead from their excellent manager and always willing to go above and beyond for their clients to make sure they have a great experience..nothing is too much to ask and they always make you feel a valued client and not just another bod. Couldn't be happier and always delighted to be served and well taken of here..I would wholeheartedly recommend in a heartbeat. Keep up the excellent service..it is noticed and always appreciated. I also like the new recycling bins provided to reduce landfill. Always appreciate the effort and provision to help in reducing waste. July 2025. Further to this I am always impressed by the staff and their professional manner in dealing with clients who are not just belligerent but also can be rude and displaying challenging behaviours. How they manage to keep their professional and courteous manners is a credit to the manager and his influence but also by their commitment to keeping up the best interests in the firm and maintaining high standards. A bit more support from senior management would not only be a good idea it would show a degree of commitment to this top notch lovely staff who do their duty under extremely challenging circumstances. I would mark is zero stars if I could. Ordered on Uber eats. After an hour and a half and being designated 3 drivers, still nothing. So I drove down there and it was absolute chaos. Around 7 Uber drivers all trying to pick up their orders and people who were dining in - one told me they were waiting for 25 minutes for food. I spoke to cashier after waiting for a further 10 minutes who called a manger over who said they are preparing my order now (please note by this point I was waiting an hour and 40 minutes since the point of order). The food then arrived to which they said they can’t give me the food as they have to give it to a driver. I told them I wasn’t leaving without my food so if they could cancel the order I would pay at the till and they refused. I asked them to the pass it to a driver and they could give it to me at the counter. This took a further ten minutes. When they passed me my food they got my order completely wrong. In the end I gave the food back as I was beyond fuming at this point. I understand that it was a Saturday night, but if you cannot handle the influx of customers you need to: get new management, hire new staff or take less orders. I will never order from this store again. Disappointing is an understatement. They should consider new management, more staff or shutting...

DONT ORDER DELIVERY! Sorry, if there is one takeaway from this review I wanted it to be that, now that that's out of the way:

I have been to this KFC several times, the food there is standard KFC, decent quality, the restaurant is small but no complaints, and the service is fine. On the whole, nothing amazing, but also nothing short of what you want from a KFC, until you try home delivery.

I ordered home delivery via Just Eat and I am admittedly kind of angry about it. I ordered food, the delivery guy turned up, and handed over food, but nether he or I noticed it wasnt MY food, which is fine, honest mistake, I just need to call the restaurant and sort it out, problem is, they dont answer the phone and there is no other way to contact them. You should never offer delivery if you are unable or unwilling of sorting out a mistake. I was annoyed enough to keep their phone ringing for almost an hour, redialling whenever it hung up until they closed, but no one in that time cared to actually answer the phone. Now I have the wrong food and no idea if the delivery guy is coming back, probably not.

On the whole, this KFC is an alright KFC to collect, and a bit meh to eat in, but never order delivery. Enjoy your...
