Jerk Island — Restaurant in London

Honest Review of jerk island….. I’ve been in hospital the last few day and because I’m a extremely picky eater and have trouble trying new foods I haven’t been eating any actual meals just fruits and snack because I can’t stand hospital food and the ward won’t allow me to warm up anything from M&S in the microwave. I’ve been craving a hot meal so Yesterday I decided I was going to order some good old heart warming Caribbean food and found jerk island on Uber eats. I did abit of research on them and decided to give them a go. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas in small with a drink. It took 50 minutes to be delivered which to be fair is long when you take into account they are just down the road from the hospital Nevertheless it arrived still hot with a fork and coleslaw aswell. I’ve never liked coleslaw but this when combined with the rice and chicken was heavenly. I ate every last grain of rice, the chicken was beautifully seasoned and prepared and the cold coleslaw complemented the food gracefully. It was honestly the best jerk chicken meal I’ve ever had. The one thing I’d change was to create a sauce out of the jerk marinade and sell or add the to the mean because it was so nice. I will definitely be ordering again today and can’t wait to try...

Jerk island deserves 5Stars and more reviews! This is the best authentic Jamaican cuisine in Brixton trust me. I have been coming here for over 10 years and it gets better and better. Kerry the owner is absolutely lovely and you can taste the love in her food. Always consistent quality and portion. This is my favourite comfort food, they have the best prices, tastes amazing. Please try this restaurant and support a local independent business owner who always gives back to the community! Little Gem 💎

Use to go here all the time when I was working across the road. Now I live in Hampshire and honestly nothing compares to Jerk Island. The jerk pork belly and rice meal deal is just delicious! Their plantain is spot on. I really miss this place and I can't tell you the amount of times I crave this 😩
