The platform cafe is a beautiful community hub to enjoy delicious freshly cooked vegan and vegetarian food. It also feels like a home from home with welcoming and kind staff. I attended a workshop from nurish lab who are offering a series of free plant based workshops. It was incredible, the teacher described every ingredient and produce used on the day on how you can incorporate them to other plant based meals as well as the meal we prepared that day. Also the nutritional value. It was an intimate space about togetherness, about preparing a meal together and eating together with great conversations and having the chance to meet others from different parts of the community and taking the time to appreciate the quality and delicious meal presented in front of you. Read moreMy name is Charles Metcalfe I am a support worker at Person Centred Care and Support.
I have taken my service users to Platform Cafe on several occasions earlier this year.
Customer service has been excellent with a great level of care and attention given to the mobility and general support of all service users.
Cafe staff helped to provide seating for one service user who walks with a walking aid and used the right speech techniques to communicate with our service users
When they have a surplus of food they have been happy to donate this to our supporting living accommodation for Mental health in South East London.
I would recommend this cafe too all others with and without disabilities as they provide fantastic care and attention to all customers.

As they say - in a world where you can be anything, be kind - and this little cafe in the heart of Loughborough Junction, certainly...
