I had high expectations from this place but that turned into disappointment. I ordered a small biryani and chicken 65. I would never call rice and chicken cubes as biryani (Not the authentic dum Biryani) with an amazingly small portion size as the plate was more about lettuce than Biryani. Chicken 65 was sweet artificial red coloured fried chicken couldn't have been worser than that. That was my first and probably the last visit to the restaurant. Edit: To reply to your comment: No one would expect a fist of rice and chicken for 6.50 & Also it's not just about the portion, I have been eating Biryani all life and know how a good Biryani taste's like. For chicken65 I well know how it looks and taste like, by red I mean it was looking artificial red with no taste and not even a pinch of spicy, it was rather sweet. I would really appreciate if you could take this criticism constructively rather than defending yourself.

The other half had been raving about the biryani at this place, so after few months, finally visited. At first wasn’t happy with how rude on of the members of staff were when we entered the premises (and throughout the sitting), the other member of staff was less rude and more friendly. Decor was lovely - love the tables! The food were very flavoursome, for me unfortunately, with a sensitive palette it can be a little too hot 🥵🥵🥵Though some starters I was able to eat, I couldn’t eat 80% of the biriyani. So it became my partner’s dinner for the next day! 😅 I was surprised to see that someone’s review said it was very bland, because the food had definitely had a variety of spice to all the dishes we’d tried. So it’s either different chef different day or the other person really likes extreme flavours and spice. Will let you guys decide!

wow! i had previously only known kadiris as a local institution for its biriyani but eating in the restaurant for the first time we ordered a handful of their starters/side dishes as well and were surprised by how good everything was. the onion bhaji, chilli garlic mogo, and chapli kebab were all great but the highlight of the starters was certainly these little lamb burgers, so tasty and juicy - a perfect little mouthful. we also ordered their famous biriyani and this was incredible, perfect fluffy rice on a bed of the curried spring lamb which was super tender and flavourful. the family size is recommended for 5 people but we barely made a dent in it, a really generous portion which we mostly took home.

Review March 2023 The arrogance is astonishing.

Somehow the owners mistake thinks folks can't afford his food? It is hardly a luxury. He doesn't understand his attitude is appalling and service is disgraceful. He forgets he is serving people and maybe needs to humble himself. His daddy built the business. He is lucky to be a part of it. Clearly doesn't have the same humility of his father.

Asking for adequate amounts of yogurt to serve people isn't a demand. The lack of understanding is incredible. You could never guess this chap runs his daddy's business.

Review Jan 2023 Ridiculously overpriced food with arrogant, unintelligent and uneducated customer service by the owners son.

Ordered a biryani for 5 at £65. Please note this was about, £50 a year ago. When collecting the order I asked for extra raita as the pot they supply isn't sufficient. They wanted to charge £5 for a bit of yogurt. I reminded them my order was £65 and £5 for a bit of yogurt was extortionate. The Asian chap behind the till (owners son) said its not yogurt. It's raita. Lets not over complicated matters. Raita is 85pc yogurt with cucumber and carrots finely chopped. The chap wanted to argue about this?!

Anyway... I told him the food was already overpriced and charging for a bit of yogurt is ridiculous. He said they provide a complimentary yogurt with my order. I said it wasn't enough for the amount of food ordered. He challenged me and said "it isnt enough?". I don't get it... he is a glorified waiter running his dads business. Essentially a nobody without his father. If a customer says he needs more yogurt he should say "yes sir how many bags full". He went on to say they provide a complimentary yogurt. I didn't want to educate him but had to explain if it's complimentary then I will leave the biryani and take the yogurt for free. He said it is complimentary again not understanding what the word means. You can't discuss things with uneducated people.

Thankfully his father was there and realised a few things and gave the yogurt for free. He was pleasant to talk to and a decent man. His son has a lot to learn... about making money and clearly needs...

I have been customer of this establishment since 1981. The food has always been very good and we have been very happy. I took a party of 12 people there last week and I was really embarrassed. The service was extremely poor, the food was not to usual standard. We finished the starters and sitting but the waiters didn't bother to come and ask if we wanted to irder the main food. So i had to go and call him. After taking the irder they left all the dishes on the table. When they brought the main dish there was no room to put the main and i got up and picked the stater dishes and placed on the counter. As with the main dishesthe Beriani was still better than other restaurants but not to usual Kadiri standard. The Tadoori chicken Masala was very bad. When we ordered tandoori chicken masala and butter chicken thought it comes with rice but it was served alone so I had to go and order 3 rice to eat with it. The manager was standing there but didn't look to see what is going on there. It seems he was forced to be there and didn't have any enthusiasm about running a restaurant. At the end about 9.45 they turned on all the lights and started to pit chairs on top of tables. We wanted to order sweets and desert but when they turned the lights we embellished they wanted us to leave. There were a table of two next to us and they asked them to leave too. They were in middle of their dinner. So they nicely paid and left with us. All restaurants they close their doors but wait until people finish their food but here they were more interested to leave rather than looking after customer. I hope the old owner act on this as at least employ a responsible and friendly manager to keep customers happy. The signature food is good but with this service the customers are going to run away. I am happy to talk to owner and discuss the short comings. I have had a chain of restaurants in the past and know the business. As mentioned I am an old customer and care about your restaurant and have introduced your restaurant to...

As others have commented, without a doubt the best biryani. Not sure what they do to it but my god it is good. I ordered the signature mutton biryani, Mumbai chicken samosa (comes 2 in a portion), small raita and mint sauce. Beyond delicious. I ordered a delivery. Everything was so neatly packed and well presented and still hot and fresh by the time I got it. The biryani portion is advertised for one person, but it is quite big. Two people could eat from it, if you are ordering other dishes too but also depends on your appetite. Generous with ingredients. A lot of mutton. Not too spicy, just right. Very comforting. Perfect with the raita which added a little sweetness. Refreshing. The samosas were simple and very homely. Heavenly, especially dipping them in the mint sauce. Not greasy. What I really like is they don't overspice food. Just right. So tasty. Staff are always pleasant and friendly. Other food is good too. I have tried a few dishes from the menu but the biryani is the best I have ever tasted. I have been going since I was a child. I am in my forties now and the food is still as delicious. ...
