Kanji Balham — Restaurant in London

Great little spot for authentic Korean / Japanese food - stopped here for lunch today and the service was very friendly, they kindly allowed me to use their WiFi as well. The Pink Grapefruit Ade was delicious and refreshing and the Spicy Korean noodles with Chicken Katsu were very tasty - a little more spice would have been appreciated but I didn't ask for extra spicy and the manager came out to check how I was enjoying it and promised he would make it spicier for me next time if I asked. Soo after reading the reviews I decided to go to Kanji for lunch....12 -15pm as I entered the place it has a nice feel to it...slightly cold but ok. I take a seat and wait to be served. The guy came over, he was nice and gave me a menu...I went back up to the counter to order but some things were not avail or now not on the menu.

When food arrived, the rice was microwaved and cold the wings still had hairs on but were crispy and no flavour and the kimchi was so so the teriyaki sauce was a no no for me and the server was starring which ultimately made me leave...

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Kanji Baltham! The food was nothing short of amazing – full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care and fresh ingredients. Every dish we tried was a delight.

What made the visit even more special was the incredibly kind and welcoming owner. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that truly stands out. It's rare to find a place where you feel so genuinely cared for.
