Ken's Fish Bar is BY FAR the best fish and chips I have ever eaten in my life. I have been using these guys for the past 18 years and they have never failed to please. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic, they take pride in what they do and prepare and serve food with a passion. Jay Rayner did not lie when he said that the chips served by Ken's were the best he ever tasted. Fish is always fresh - the fish to batter ratio is absolute perfection! The chef on a Friday and Saturday especially deserves a special shoutout - he works extremely hard nonstop and does an amazing job. To the reviews beneath who complain about 'unseasoned' food - it should be taken into account that people have allergies. The chefs cannot just add salt and lemon to their food as they please - these condiments are a preference, not compulsory. The long queues outside just go to prove how great the quality and service is and I will use these guys for as long as they are open. Keep up the...
Read moreThis Fish & Chips place is by far, the best Fish & Chips I've eaten in my entire life. I've tried a good variety of Fish & Chips including what was promoted as the best Fish & Chips in London as well as the Fish & Chips in the England Pavilion at Epcot Center. But Ken's Fish & Chips just blew me away. It's freshly made, nice & crispy on the outside, juicy & flaky on the inside.
My husband found this place as it was featured in Netflix's 'Feed Phil' show. I'm so glad we tried it since it became one of the best highlight in my family's recent trip to London. It took an hour to get there from the apartment we stayed in but it was worth the trip. And if we go back to London, it will be an absolute must place to go back to.
Many thanks to the daughter of Ken & the staff who served us. You guys are amazing! Wishing you & your family continued success in your family...
Read moreWhenever my daughter is on school holidays we seek out another London old skool chippie. Today we struck gold with Ken's Fish Bar. First of all what a nice bloke Ken is (I'm guessing it was him who served us today!). Secondly he had just reopened after returning from holiday and having the yearly maintenance and safety checks carried out on the cooking equipment. So today I assume it was nice fresh oil in the fryer. That resulted in the loveliest piece of cod we've had in a while. The batter was beautifully golden and crispy, cooked to perfection. Chips were just as nice. Size of fish and quantity of chips was good and price was reasonable. We sat outside at one of the two tables to eat our food. All-in-all a pleasant experience. Would definitely come again. Highly...
