We met up with some family at Melisi after it was recommended to us. It's a compact restaurant but they have managed to fit in real wood fired oven which came all the way from Naples. All the food is prepared in front of you in the open kitchen. We had a large party and so it took a while for us to decide what we wanted. The staff were excellent in explaining all the items on the menu and being patient as we tried to choose our AntiPasti When the food came we knew we made the right choice. The Bruschetta a Tris was amazing. The Tagliere was out of this world with some of the best cheeses I have tasted. I would also recommend the Burrata e Crudo . We also got a basket of freshly baked bread. The Pizzas were exceptional. Proper pizzas cooked like they do in Napoli. The stand-out ones for us were the Diavoloa which turned the heat up but not too much, The Marinara, which went down a storm with the kids. The Campagnola which is made from wild boar. We also ordered a Calzone which was a special that night. The pizzas came out piping hot. The bases were nice and thin. The ingredients all tasted so fresh. The Desserts were just as amazing. The stand out ones were the Tirramisu and the Fagottino Rapieno which needs two people to finsh it off. Melisi is a little Italian gem and one that shines with it's food and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this casual and intimate Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations.

The food at Melisi was simply outstanding, I opted for the truffle pasta, which was nothing short of heavenly. The rich and creamy sauce was infused with the decadent flavor of truffles, and the pasta itself was cooked to the perfect al dente texture. Each bite was a true delight, and I savored every last forkful.

And as if that wasn't enough, I finished my meal with a mouthwatering tiramisu that was the perfect end to a perfect meal. The dessert was light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet, with a delicate balance of flavors that left me feeling satisfied and content.

But what really made my dining experience at Melisi stand out was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed throughout the meal.

Overall, I highly recommend Melisi to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience. From the delicious food to the exceptional service, this restaurant truly delivers on all fronts. I can't wait to come back and try more of their...

An authentic Italian restaurant on Ruislip high street. This place was cosy and comfortable, serving up great food.

We had the tagliere to start, which was a sharing plate of meats (salami, prosciutto crudo, mortadella) and cheeses (mozzarella, grana padano). The mozzarella was very creamy and had a great flavour, which I was not expecting of mozzarella but this one was delicious.

For mains we tried two of their new pizzas - Caramellata (ventricina salami, mozzarella, caramelised onions) and Romagna (mozzarella, pesto, sun-dried tomatoes and mortadella ham)

Both pizzas were delicious, with a Roma-style thin base and slightly charred crusty from their pizza oven.

We shared a tiramisu for dessert which was light and creamy with a punchy coffee flavour without being bitter or too strong.

Service here was attentive and friendly. I would highly...

We were looking for shelter from the rain and for a nice meal in Ruislip on this wintery July day and we luckily passed by this lovely pizzeria napoletana. Staff is nice and professional and the place is small and cozy with a standard modern décor. Very good and definitely not a standard selection of starters, pasta and pizza. We shared 2 different pizzas (succulenta and pizzichino). The quality of the ingredients is excellent and the dough is light, well hydrated and well kneaded. Unfortunately, in my personal opinion, there's a lack of beer choice (only 330ml bottle of moretti and peroni/nastro), pizzas had to stay in the oven maybe a few extra seconds and the whole menu is a bit overpriced. Not big deals tbh since both pizzas were very good and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. A Few details away from perfection 😁 Strongly recommend!

Overall: ★★★★☆ Food: Neapolitan (Southern Italian) Not my preferred style of pizza so I can’t and won’t down rate it because of that. A strong four stars overall though for this Ruislip pizzeria with a decent pasta menu and open kitchen which is a nice to see. Very good, helpful and attentive service. Great for families. What I liked: • Nice clean, bright restaurant • Friendly, helpful service • Nice, tasty pasta • Short but decent wine list priced well • Generally good price points What I didn’t like: • The ‘focaccia’ is more like pizza bread and not proper focaccia at all which was disappointing and priced too high for what you get. • High price point for the pizzas especially for one out of central London with much lower overheads Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? YES Price Point: $$
