King Palace — Restaurant in London

Probably one of the worst places I've been to for Chinese food. Food was lacklustre and felt like no effort whatsover had gone into making it.

The Vietnamese spare ribs were so salty I could actually see salt granules on the dish. We ordered the hot pot aubergine, which had been cut into large chunks and was still half raw and hard, same with the vegetables that came with it.

King prawns were pumped with water and tasteless. The Pak choi had an odd taste to it which put me off my meal.

The chili pork was just cooked sliced pork added to a sweet and sour shop-bought sauce with a little bit of chilli). Singapore noodles definitely the worst on the high street. Tastes like they'd zapped the flavour out of it somehow.

There is only an option of 2(!) bottled beers, carlsberg and tsingstao - large bottle being a rip off £7.70. We had to ask 3 times for tap water which came in a tiny glass.

Service was ok and friendly but not enough to bring me back. Plenty of better value options on the...

I called to place a takeaway order and was told I’d get a call back in five minutes. About ten minutes later, she rang back, and I had to read my card details three times before the payment finally went through. Around ten minutes later, she called again saying the details didn’t match the address. When I asked her to read them back, she refused, and instead told me to walk round and collect it, saying I don’t live far, even though we’d already agreed on delivery.

The payment had already gone through, and when I called back, the man I spoke to was uninterested and told me to contact my bank or come in the next day. After about an hour, we were left with no food and no delivery, a really frustrating experience for what should’ve been a simple Saturday...

Went here with a group of 12 last Friday , very disappointing from the off. 3 different sized tables awkwardly pushed together. Service was … there wasn’t any, we constantly had to keep putting our hands up to call someone over to ask. No one came to ask what we wanted for starters , mains or dessert, or any drinks , we had to keep calling the waiters over or getting up . When ordering we were made to feel like we were bothering them . Manager looked like he had the hump and couldn’t be bothered . I wouldn’t mind if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t . It’s a shame as the food was nice , But the service and staff were shocking . Maybe they don’t like...
