KJ Restaurant — Restaurant in London

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE! I went to KJ with my mates to have dinner. We went in quite late at night the "owner" of the restaurant said it's fine for us to come in and order as the restaurant closes at 23:00. We sat down and as we were making our order, another group of customers came in and made their order right after us. Roughly 10mins later they were served with drinks and side dishes however we were only served with water. The other group received their appetiser however we were still sipping our small cups of water which by now had finished. 30min had passed, the other group were on their second course. We wait patiently and at this point we questioned the UNFRIENDLY waitress, who cannot even crack a smile at us, when our food would arrive. To which she replied another 10-15 mins.

We sat there for good 45mins now. Still no food. On the other hand the other group has already had nearly ALL of meals come through and had been eaten. Bare in mind we ordered same meals. I ask the owner/chef/ guy wearing a kimono of the restaurant when is the food coming as we have been waiting for 45mins now. He doesn't apologize neither does he have an excuse. He laughs and goes into kitchen. Within that 45min we haven't been served side dish let alone our food. Our water has not been refilled. We were never updated on when our food will be ready or why is it running late. There were only 3 groups of customers in that restaurant at that time as it was late at night. The waitress only seems to smile at other customers whom happens to be all Korean. At this point it we've had enough so we had to leave. Don't get me wrong there are restaurants I've been to in new Malden that are far better than KJ. So if you want authentic Korean food go to Treestone, HARU, YAMI, Kang Nam these are the ones I've been so far and higly recommend. Great customer service and mouth...

Never been to a restaurant came across such impolite waitress, later found out she is the Manageress. We saw other tables had side dishes served as soon as they sat down, so we asked for some, she said only served with main course which is not true. My son and husband were in the same restaurant on a different table as we girls had a pre xmas gathering. My son brought over us their side dishes as too spicy for them. Most of our food came still no side dish. We asked them to bring some for us and they said we had it already. We explained that was my husband's table side dishes. The manageress was in a very rude manner saying she would give us this time but not next time. We felt like being accused we wee lying. Even later when my husband paid the bill and told her that he gave us their side dishes. She never came to apologise.

Food was ok but not for the price, the dishes are tiny, you can go somewhere for better service. Never seen her smiling to any customer.
