La Villa Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Won’t be rushing back here in a hurry, a shame as generally the food is quite nice but after finding a very sharp piece of plastic in my food and it being handled appallingly I have been put off returning. I showed them the plastic that I pulled out of my mouth, just to be asked where did I find it and left with the same plate of food to continue eating! I picked at would I could but actually gave up and left the veg, saying to the server I couldn’t eat it out of fear of more plastic and could something be done about the bill. Eventually gets told the chef was sorry it had broken off the butter tub and would like to buy me a drink… I politely declined as did not want another drink to which she tried to convince the whole table to have shots instead and actually got annoyed when we all declined! They ended up taking of 1 of my 2 drinks (although it seems we ended up paying for an extra beer anyway) but honestly I should have first of all got a proper apology, secondly been given a fresh plate of food and thirdly my main should have been free. Put someone who ordered the same as me off her meal as well, she did take the leftovers but ended up binning them...

The food as always was simply the best. Yes you have to wait but that is because it’s cooked from fresh. All cooked to perfection. The only fly on the ointment was a waiter that was a bit off....not one of the normal ones and didn’t join into the groups desire to use the spanish names for their orders... they are all learning spanish but he repeated all their orders in English with a bit of attitude as he was English and proud of it! I was not happy as all the waiters in this restaurant are really lovely. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you! Please don’t be put off because the food here is really lovely and the staff are...

I’ve been here quite a few times before with my family but recently have just been coming with my girlfriend and every time La Villa does not disappoint, the food here is so so good so hats off to the chefs!! Foods to die for :)) however it would be crazy for me not to mention the service by the waitresses, they’re the ones that make this place amazing, Maria, Nichole and Carolina provided us exceptional service all night long and made our time so enjoyable.
