Lallapolosa in Kingston is an absolute gem. The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a warm, homely atmosphere that makes you feel completely at ease—like you’ve just walked into a friend’s kitchen. The food is consistently fresh, tasty, and full of heart. Whether it's their baked goods, brunch items, or coffee, everything has that special “made with love” feel. It’s the kind of place where every bite is satisfying and comforting. What truly sets Lallapolosa apart is the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, genuine, and kind. They create such a welcoming vibe that you can’t help but smile. And Elyse—she’s simply amazing. So warm and personable, she genuinely makes you feel like family. Her kindness and positive energy shine through in everything. I’ve recommended Lallapolosa to so many of my friends and family because it’s not just a bakery—it’s a place that makes you feel at home. – Abhinav from Astor ❤️

This is hands down one of the best bakeries in London. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a genuine, friendly welcome from the staff. Their hospitality makes you feel not just a customer, but a valued guest. The atmosphere is inviting, and the team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel special. As for the food and drinks, every item is crafted with love and the freshest ingredients. The quality is consistently outstanding, making each visit a delightful experience. I’m particularly fond of their sausage rolls – they are simply the best I’ve ever had. Recently, I tried their carrot cake, and it was a revelation – moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in Kingston, do yourself a favor and visit this gem. Enjoy their superb food and coffee, and relish in the warm, welcoming environment. You won’t be disappointed!

Takeaway lunch during COVID lockdown today. Great service - very welcoming and helpful. Today we had a cheese sandwich with salad and pizza slice with salad. We also had a coffee each. The food was very fresh and tasty - slightly too much cheese for our tastes but were both into our healthy eating so other may love that. There is nowhere to eat indoors but there is an outside long table with seats. At the moment these are unavailable and during COVID this makes sense. Most of their food is made same day generally and there is usually something straight out of the oven. These is a gem of a place to eat if you value quality and an independent owner run café rather than a chain. Don't tell any one.

I was rather happy when I discovered this little place as is just on the other road from usTo mention the place is absolutely tiny and there are always cakes cooling down everywhere,I am rather disappointed that they just leave more than a few people in at a time.First time when I went, seemed ok.It was just me, bought a few pastries and cakes.Second time I took my husband and thought we would have a nice lunch .The service was rather bad, so rushed and rather rude. The blond lady was trying to take my order while she was putting he cost of last order and while she was talking to the lady that was baking. Then she went to drop some stuff outside and say bye to these people that were outside.then she came back and took my order again and again, busy chatting to the other lady and putting in a different cake as not sure if he heard what I said..Meanwhile these other few people came in ,and my husband and I said we will wait for our order outside as wasn't enough space. We didnt got the nice service of having our take away order brought out but she shouted from there 'sausages rooools' ,my husband tried to kinda go through the people and pick it up and when he asked for another paper bag as was given none, she rolled her eyes and rather annoyed. He said he wouldn't go back, maybe they are nice it seems to the regular customers...not sure how they planning of building new customers. Both times we went ,we spent around 20 pounds.Pastries are just average if i am being honest and cakes are ok..not sure is worth the price but nothing to make me go again. The drinks from the little fridge are very dusty and dirty ,wanted a sour cherry can but put it back when I saw the state of...

Nice stuff.. Shame about the service. I visited today as this is my local coffee shop and like most people at the moment am having to work from home. I hadn't visited before as it isn't usually open when I'm at home but I wanted somewhere to get my daily coffee from. I was just about greeted by the woman on the front desk but she was far more interested in talking to an employee about what supplies to get. Already feeling awkward and like I had interrupted something, I gave her my order which she started making and then suddenly decided she needed to go to the supermarket. She told the other woman to make my order to which I repeated it again. However the first woman continued to talk the employee about shopping. She began making it and I noticed she put in normal milk even though I had asked for almond, I said excuse me, when I could get a word in edgeways and be heard over the other two and said I'd order almond milk to which she stopped making it and went to get the milk (I would've been happy to change this to a different alt milk if I was told they didn't have it in the cafe at that time). This took a good few minutes and then I noticed she was talking to the other two who had now moved outside. I was waiting for my coffee for almost 10 minutes and there weren't even any customers before me. In times like these you would think that hospitality business would want to keep hold of their customers, particularly prospective ones. I like to support local businesses and I would have been a daily customer here but now I'd rather walk a lot further, rather than having to experience pure rudeness and being made to feel so...

I can't believe my experience here. Very poor management. !!! The blonde lady there has not much manners to speak off. I still went there. Thought it might be her stress, even wondered if she just didn't like me. But for what reason. Even my nine year old daughter asked, .... Why does that lady look at you like that. I said I really didn't know. Which made me feel sad,as I sat there, with my expensive saugage roll. I put up,as it's the only bakery next to their school. And we walk forty mins daily their and back to school. Yesterday was the last straw! She was smoking outside on the doorstep side on to the premises. She came in to serve me, she didn't was her hands. She came straight in,rinsed the food tongs, which she was holding the spoon side anyway. Then handles my two crossiants, after smoking and not washing. I challenged tho.it took me a moment,as she's not nicest to spk to. She answered back and just said, " point". Then went quiet. Athen served my crossiants and said thank you. Sarcasm was noticed.and un appreciated!!! I've noticed a big staff turn over. I think the blonde lady missed the whole point of hospitality. I will not be coming back! She wil never see a...
