Positive: The food was excellent. Pasta taste and texture was fantastic, like being in a nice Italian restaurant. The pasta mains are great value for money, although I’d like to see them offer larger portions for an increased price, as I was still hungry afterwards. They weren’t small per se, but as someone who is 190cm tall and weighs 100kg, I needed something a little more substantial.

Neutral: The staff were all friendly, however, everything was slow to come out and we did have to ask twice. We also said that we didn’t want salami because they’d ran out of the focaccia but, maybe in a bit of a translation issue (no judgement, I speak zero other languages and think it’s incredible that others can), they brought some over anyway. We didn’t kick up a fuss, ate it and paid for it.

Negative: It was extremely noisy with groups dominating the restaurant. We asked to move once and were then placed downstairs with even noisier groups - for context, this was a Monday night (we’re not party poopers but we wanted a quiet, peaceful meal after a heavy weekend). Secondly, they didn’t have any focaccia, which was pretty shocking for an Italian restaurant. Neither did they have any lager whatsoever - after about 5-6 minutes of waiting the server came back and said they had ran out. For an Italian restaurant to have no focaccia or lager on a Monday evening is poor. Anyway, they lost out in this regard as we opted for water and didn’t replace the focaccia with anything else.

My recent visit to the newly opened Italian restaurant was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that transported me straight to Italy. I cannot praise this place enough, and it truly deserves a 5-star rating. The menu offered a wide range of mouthwatering Italian dishes, each prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with authentic Italian ingredients. Every bite was a true taste of Italy, and I couldn't help but savor each morsel. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the cuisine they serve.The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with tasteful Italian decor and soft background music that added to the overall charm. Additionally, the attention to hygiene and cleanliness was commendable. The restaurant was spotless, and the tables were immaculately set. It's clear that they prioritize the well-being of their customers, which further enhanced my dining experience.

The food was absolutely stunning: delicious, beautifully prepared, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. When we arrived, we were delayed at the entrance by a man joking around with a waitress, who only let us in after we awkwardly said “sorry,” which felt unwelcoming.

We were then directed to sit inside without being offered the option to sit on the terrace, even though there appeared to be available tables. Once seated, it took over 10min before we managed to get a waitress’s attention to place our order, as she and what seemed to be the manager were chatting and not checking in on guests.

When our food was ready, it sat on the pass despite the chef ringing the bell multiple times; again showing a lack of attentiveness. While the terrace was understandably busy, there were three staff members working the floor, so this shouldn’t have been a major issue.

Another discomfort was the air conditioning, which was blasting cold air even though it was just 22°C outside. Guests around us were putting on coats to stay warm inside, which made the atmosphere even less enjoyable.

Sadly, we won’t be returning, which is a real shame because the food truly deserves better service. With a more proactive, guest-focused team, this place could be outstanding. I say that as someone who has worked in hospitality, I know the difference attentive...
