Mama's Pita — Restaurant in London

First experience and had good reviews from friends but to be honest really disppointed. First the good - the delivery was pretty quick. The food was tasty in the most part and the salad we ordered was nice. The not so good was that the order was wrong, where we ordered no tomatoes thats all we had in one of the souvlakis. Also, the pork in the yeeros had gristle and the chips in all were few and far between and luke warm. Even if the order had been correct and the food all good it's still quite overpriced in our opinion plus extra for delivery. You don't get anywhere near as much food for your money as other similar restaurants. Seeing other reviews maybe we were unlucky but a lesson learned for us to stick to other restaurants.

UPDATE - not sure we mentioned it was 'all our friends' - notice no response to any of the negatives - definitely...

I'm a guy that loves his food so imagine my surprise the first time I was presented to Mama's Pita's yeero, having never seen or heard of them. "They're unbelievable" my friend told me.... It just looked like a kind of kebab with potatoes.... How wrong I was! It was so good I now eat here weekly and have introduced countless friends and colleagues to the place.

Another highlight is the gigante beans. What can I say. How to take the humble butter bean (?) and turn it into culinary ecstasy.... :)

The owners are lovely, and super welcoming and friendly. The food is sublime. What more can I say?

If you're after a proper taste of Greece right here in Enfield, honestly, look no further. Their food is just brilliant – proper comfort stuff, and you can really tell everything's cooked fresh, especially that bit about the real charcoal. It makes all the difference, trust me. I mean, yeeros, pork souvlaki, biftekaki… it's all top-notch. The vibe is spot on too; it genuinely feels like you're getting a little bit of Greek home cooking, which is a lovely touch.
