Well I really Don’t Know where to start has the last time I came to this pub it was one of worst pubs I ever been to ,( this was about 3 years ago ) But a friend of Mine told Me a few weeks ago that theirs a New manger and new team of Staff and I should give it a second chance , Well I can’t thank My Friend enough has he was spot on This New Manger Zoey really has turned this Pub around , And being in a wheelchair I always find it difficult in 99% of pubs to even get in , But this pub as the easy access ive ever had into any pub , But from the time we arrived to time we left it was the best Afternoon I’ve had in years and to say the service was good is Not being fair as it really was Totally out standing and Nothing was to much for the amazing Manger Zoey and her Awsome Team and even down to the door staff that also made it so easy for me to get in out as soon as I got near to the door the door was opened , I really am So impressed and we watched the first England game in here and the atmosphere was Amazing but also so chilled the table next to us also had their children with them and also said it was the best pub they’ve ever taken their children to and it really was so busy , But the table service really was unreal as Not only did it only take a few mins for our orders to turn up but the Awsome staff kept checking if we needed more drinks or Food , and prices on the drinks and food is more then reasonable it really is value for Money and we will definitely be going back this Top Pub and Me and My Friend cannot Believe this is actually in Croydon , And The Manger Zoey Should Be so proud of her pub and Awsome team and can’t wait to watch My Next football game Here and really Would Like to Thank you and and all of your amazing Team for making this such a great Afternoon !!!!what. Great Awsome Amazing Manger Zoey !!!! And I’m sure they will be loads More reviews to say the same as it really was most awesome afternoon ive had In Years !!!! And when theirs football on Yous have to book like all pubs well for the next 5 weeks now...
Read moreAwful place. I think the young guy was called Haydn. He was left by himself behind the bar and I do appreciate that he was under pressure. However, we order food and after 40 mins, no food arrived. My husband went to the bar to enquire. It took almost 6 mins for Haydn to acknowledge him (I appreciate he had other customers) when my husband then was able to speak to him to ask about the food, Haydn said that he was unable to help because he was busy and the kitchen was a separate area. He would find out when he had time!!!! After almost an hour, my husband and I went to the bar and eventually spoke to Haydn who again said he did not know what was going on with the food???? He had a very arrogant non caring tone. I told him we would like a refund, he said he couldn’t do it without the manager. He tried to phone the manager but her phone was at the bar and he couldn’t do anything about it. He carried on serving customers. I then told him that this was disgraceful customer service, he became aggressive and raised his voice and told me to leave because I was being rude. I told him I’m not being rude but honest, we have paid money for the food and we’ve waited an hour and it has not come and he isn’t helping us. Fortunately, his manager came down and gave us a refund, as she was refunding us he was goading myself and my husband with his manager and other customers saying out loud that we were unreasonable and he had done a great job.....useless, aggressive and rude - will never...
Read moreA cozy place to catch up for drinks and quick bar nibbles or some good fingerfood We have a snooker table on one corner , some old slot machines and a live projector which would be used during evenings for broadcasting some soccer matches
The staff are dutiful and they are really good at things and are knowledgeable The collection of beer and other drinks is great
Was at the Market tavern during the weekend with my best friends to try few drinks and some fingerfood
Loved the experience a sublime one .
London Pride beer 🍻 As the name says it all it is an iconic ale of the capital city of United Kingdom 🇬🇧 It has an ABV of 4.1% It is a tan coloured ale that has dried fruit a bit of sweet raisin and biscuit notes to it It’s brewed entirely from home grown hop varieties which is rich , smooth and quite elegant on ones palate and has a fine balance of bitterness to it
Food pairing for this : goes well with roast chicken as the caramel notes of beer perfectly compliment the caramelised skin of chicken 🍗 🍻
Next one I tried is Doom bar beer 🍺 This one is the sharp brewery’s flagship ale yet again
It has a ABV of 4.0%
Has a taste of lightly roasted malt with succulent dried fruit notes It is Morris’s and has subtle bitterness to it
Food paring : goes well with grilled fish or battered calamari
Beers on tap are great
Tried the battered onion rings which are good 😊 On the whole a great place to unwind during weekends
So cheers to one and...
