NO RATING - SHITE SERVICE
Today we ordered a takeaway at 8:16pm online via the new delivery service with Uber. Our first time using this service. Ordered 2 quarterpounder with cheese meals and fries and 2 strawberry milkshakes. It came to £12 and change. My partner was excited that the Ap tracked the driver en route and how quick the delivery. He even joked with the driver about how impressed he was with the fast delivery.
We opened the large bag to see that what we had in fact received wasn't what we ordered. MacDonalds had sent 1 portion of chicken nuggets with chips and 2 strawberry milkshakes. LIVID......
My partner rang MacDonalds and spoke to someone who would not re-send our order that they had messed up. They said my partner should go to MacDonalds to pick up what he had ordered. Why do we have to collect the order when we had placed the order for delivery but received an incorrect order. The useless person on the line asked my partner for his details (just so he could log his complaint in a book). What about getting our money back? Oh no, can't get your money back......!!! This fool blamed Uber. Do Uber drivers pack the food parcels? No they don't, but please whoever in this establishment sensible enough/qualified to answer this, is responsible for this cock up?
People are desperate for jobs but there are dimwits packing our food parcels at this outfit claiming to be professional.
Anyway my partner has gone down there to return this order and get his money back. Fingers crossed he can have a conversation with someone with sense.
My partner just got back. The dimwit he spoke to on the phone told my partner he had to go back onto the Ap to be reimbursed.....! My partner had to raise his voice as this person was just trying to wind him up. The idiot's colleague heard their conversation and told him to reimburse him straight...
Read moreThis is outside the bowling alley and next to the cinema. So the clientele I came across inside were a little loud and happy. Whilst there's nothing wrong with it, it can be quite intimidating especially when you go in with young kids. So I came out and drove round the back where there's a drive through.
Its not a particularly large restaurant and nor were they as fast in delivering the food as I had hoped. After placing my order I had to park up in a bay whilst they cooked and brought the food out to my car. The reassuring thing was at the till they told me they note down the car registration so the correct order comes to the correct vehicle which I thought was a nice touch.
The food was piping hot, clean in appearance and well presented.
I asked for sauce so they gave me the minimal amount. I asked for more and then they gave me another lot of minimal amount which is a bit annoying.
But overall its an ok place. Nothing fancy about it and there's more brickwork than bright airy glass.
The tills inside are crammed and the self service order screens are literally in your face as soon as you enter leaving very minimal space to queue up with a bit of distance from...
Read moreRead moreI use to be a big fan of McDonald's growing up as a kid, even went through the stages of Happy Meal - Quarter pounder - Big Mac. But the food they prepare today is nothing compared to what it use to be like, don't care what their adverts claim... No way all their restaurants serve organic unprovessed food. As for most McDonald's, no ones smiling when they take you're order, a lot of them are rude, probably because they're miserable. And dirty, maybe they clean the tables down a few times a day, which is disgusting because a lot of children are running around, touching things spreading germs. Not blaming the children, it's what they do. Parents, should learn to teach their kids some manners.... Won't even start on the toilets in these places. Oh! And their advertised pictures of the meals they serve look nothing like the photos! You can always tell if something has been freshly cooked, cooked from frozen or being kept warm until someone orders it. But it's cheap and easy food, never satisfied after having McDonald's... Actually last time I ate at this one, 2 years ago and got food poisoning. So thanks for helping me...
