On Wednesday 26th February 2020 at around 9pm in the evening, my family and I had the unfortunate experience of once again being let down by both Uber Eats and the McDonald’s branch that is located at Welling on 38 Bellegrove Rd, Welling DA16 3PY.
Time and time again, my family and I’s order has been poorly managed in one way or another.
In the past, we have had items missing from our order (which we were refunded for) but because of the fact that this is a repeated offence of missing items from our order, it implies that there is a deliberate reason for this.
Seeing that McDonald’s is a GLOBAL fast food restaurant chain, I would expect a much higher level of customer service but if I am being honest, the service that is provided by a local corner shop is up to a much higher standard than this particular branch of McDonald’s.
The reason that I say this is because my family and I once again decided to make the unfortunate mistake of trusting McDonald’s to finally get our order right and oh, how wrong did they get it.
Not only were three items of food missing from the order but upon arrival of the food (which is very hard to confirm when a delivery driver has dropped it off), we realised that the chips were undercooked, the entire contents of the burger were cold , one of the wraps of the day appeared to be tampered with (in both the packaging and the food contents) and even the chicken nuggets in my daughter’s (who is a toddler) Happy Meal were cold.
We were thoroughly displeased by this but because they had taken so long to prepare the order, pick it up and eventually hand it over to us, we could not make alternative arrangements.
To exasperate things further when we went through the procedure to report these findings to this particular branch of McDonald’s (as Uber Eats were notified of this and we are awaiting feedback), they did not even bother to answer their phone on three separate occasions (with no option to leave a voicemail).
Needless to say, this ruined our experience of not just ordering food with McDonald’s and through Uber Eats but just ordering fast food in general has now been an experience that is ruined for me now.
You would think that this experience could not get any worse but when me and another member of my family drove down to this particular branch of McDonald’s, one of the managers of that store could not do anything for us but apologise. This was despite us clearly showing physical proof of the tainted chips and grilled sweet chili chicken wrap. All she could say to us was that the order was passed to a driver from Uber Eats and it means that it is their responsibility now. We kept on making the argument that something needs to be done but she proceeded to say that no food can be given free of charge despite this inconvenience as it was Uber Eats’ responsibility when they handed over the phone to them.
Please DO NOT USE this branch of McDonald’s to order any food whatsoever because if they cannot even own up to their failings, it is not worth trusting them with the food that they have prepared!

Read moreThe last three times I've visit this restaurant it's been a shambles! All three times I have waited more than 15 minutes once ordered. The last two visits my food has been cold! The staff clearly are not happy and the mounds of waiting customers not happy either! My last order was given to me without fries. I have the order back and they put my order above the fries to keep it "warm" what a joke. Then they gave me the order and there was no toys in the happy meals. Turns out toys have run out waited for more toys to come gave bat man masks when it should be gumball associated?! Finally when I received my food they then found out the coke zero (all three) were not make or been taken already?! The hot (more like warm at best!) Was sat there for ages though. After more waiting around and some strppy comments by staff i finally got the food 25 mins from order! For the second time the food was cold. We binned the lot!
My order was 091 the printer on the machine wasn't working that was A JOKE getting my order!
Anyway I want a full refund for this last order. It's supposed to be fast food and this was just terrible service and not edible. It came to £21... something.

I faced multiple issues, procedural/staff and manager behaviour. They forgot to keep the chips in Happy meal and my chips savvy kid started crying not to find it after reaching home. Forcefully went back and taken the point to Manager Ms Ula and she was in suspicion mode and asked me for the bill. The Bill Print out never ever came from their order machine, always faulty. Eventually she has given me the chips with a rude face. Yet another time, the order machine didnt work, questioned it to the manual McD staff operated till, she messed up the order, knowingly or unknowingly ... Thats the state with staff and operating procedures.
Another issue is the delay. JustEat, Deliveroo etc gets higher precedence than the normal order.
I have been to Bexleheath McD and is well managed and so friendly staff. The problem is its 4 miles away and practically not feasible to drive each and every time there.
When you glance across all the earlier reviews, not surprising I cant find a good opinion about them.
