The Crispy One
The original cheese fondue topped w/ bacon & crispy shallots.
The Spicy One
The original Turkish cheese fondue topped w/ our homemade piri piri sauce & chilli flakes.
The Cheese & Onion One
The original Turkish cheese fondue topped w/ sumac onions & crispy shallots.
Halloumi Fries W/ Honey
Crispy, salty, delicious & drizzled with honey for sweetness. How very Greek of us.
Calamari
w/ scotch bonnet mayo. Sercan, our Exec Chef, created the fermented scotch bonnet dip when he was experimenting with fermenting. Of course, the initial product was far too spicy for anyone but him, so he mixed with mayonnaise & lime juice to create this deliciously spicy & sour dip. It complements the crispy calamari beautifully.

Updated review - credit where it’s deserved! Well done to the Saturday Team at Megan’s Old town! Those who saw my last review will remember my rather scathing, assessment of Megan's. I lamented their consistently dreadful service, despite the restaurant's unique charm and, frankly, its position as the only Clapham establishment with a menu exhibiting a flicker of imagination (seriously, is it pizza or nothing in this town?!). Well, I ate my words this Saturday. Reluctantly, I returned to Megan's, driven by a desperate craving for something *other* than pizza. And I'm thrilled to report a complete 180-degree turn. From the moment we arrived at 7pm on Saturday, June 7th, until closing time, the service was impeccable. A far cry from the "Olympic sport of poor service" I previously described. Every team member was on point, attentive, and friendly. No huddled conversations, no phones in sight – just genuine engagement with the customers. The manager was clearly present and fostering a positive atmosphere both with the staff and the diners. It seems there's hope yet for customer service in the younger generation! Our server, Alfred, deserves special recognition for his outstanding service. The entire team's attention to detail and promptness truly elevated the dining experience. The manager even went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday memorable – a truly appreciated gesture. The revamped food and cocktail menus were excellent, and the food itself was perfectly prepared. The chicken shish was delicious and I recommend the picante Margaritas. It was a delightful evening, a refreshing change from the monotonous growing pizza scene in Clapham. Megan's has clearly rediscovered its imaginative spark, not only in its cuisine but, more importantly, in its resurrected commitment to customer service. A massive well done to the entire team for this remarkable turnaround! Old Review: I do love Megan’s as a place and a concept. I even used to work here at the Terrace. I don’t normally write negative reviews. I’d rather have a chat to the manager - but, honestly, I have to say something after disappointment after disappointment after infuriating disappointment that the service here leaves an awful lot to be desired. Please don’t come here unless you have all the time in the world or are not particularly hungry. Heaven help you if you are starving! I had thought that, after replacing all the staff, things would change. But I just get the impression that no one wants to work anymore. Why should they? Customers are such an inconvenience. Right? Nobody came to take our order. This is one of several visits ( I live in the old town ) and each time I hope for the best. Once I ordered a wine and it sat in the bar for 20 minutes before someone brought it ‘because I wasn’t in their section’ 🤦‍♂️ I collected it myself! Tonight no one took our order. We had to go to the bar to order ‘while you wait’ items because I felt like we would be waiting a long time. We had to go and order our mains and starters long before someone checked in on us. It’s the same story most of the time. I had to go to the bar to order drinks afterwards- after trying to attract someone’s attention for a while - only to be told by the bar staff that ‘we have table service so sit back down’. I asked ‘do you? Because we haven’t had any all night?’ The place was not even remotely busy, and the faces you get from them if you dare to interrupt their flow or conversation 🤷‍♂️?! Like I said, it’s a great place and vibe and food, but more often than not, it is let down by the worst service you could imagine. Megan’s really tops the bill on poor service. If it was an Olympic sport - they’d have their own team! They even have the audacity to still add a service charge when they know it hasn’t been up to scratch. We used to gauge it before we did that. But maybe we never felt so entitled?! I recommend the Espresso Martini!

Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Here's an honest review: I love the ambience, it was really beautiful with lots of fairy lights, and very convenient location. We drove and was able to find parking without any difficulty at all. The food was also amazing! I absolutely enjoyed all the sides as well as my main dishes. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars, is because of the very unfriendly service. The waitress serving us seemed extremely annoyed that we were a big group, and almost didn't want to come to our table at all. It was very difficult to get her attention, unlike other tables which got her attention easily. When I tried to ask her a question, she seem to just ignore me and walk off, and I had to keep trying to get her attention again. She didn't smile at us at all, and the entire time just showed us how annoyed she was. Also, when the food came, I had ordered the Chicken & Lamb, and this time I believe it was the Manager that was serving it to another party of the group, and I told her - "oh I think that's mine actually. I got the Chicken & Lamb." She then said, "There's another Chicken & Lamb behind me." Then I asked the waiter behind her holding a plate - "Is that Chicken and Lamb?" To which he replied "No, it's Chicken & Halloumi". And then I told her again - "That's mine because I got the Chicken & Lamb" - and AGAIN she replied, "there's another one behind me". And I had to tell her that that was Chicken and Halloumi. She then realized she made a mistake, and decided to get annoyed at me and said, "Well I don't know who ordered what right?" Yes, it's easy to get orders confused, but I clearly told her it was mine, and she obviously mistakenly thought the guy behind her was holding the same dish. So, please don't get annoyed at your customer when you're in the wrong. As my friend was celebrating her birthday, she politely asked if we could have a cake knife / sharper knife. She was VERY VISIBLY annoyed at our request and even rolled her eyes. She did help, and did bring the knife over, but she definitely showed her annoyance. Now, I've been a waitress before too, and I understand that big groups can be a bit more tricky to manage compared to small groups. However, we did comply with a lot of requests that the restaurant had set - ordering from only a limited choice of 4 options etc. Hence, I do think that there is absolutely no need to be so hostile to us just because we were a big group. I definitely felt very unwelcome, and like they couldn't wait for us to leave. Yes, we are a big group, but everyone did order a good share and pay, and I don't see why we should be treated worse than small groups. Definitely not coming back as a big group, and wouldn't recommend to anyone to book a party for big groups!

A Perfect Breakfast Delight with Flawless Service, a Dear Friend, and a Lovely Space! I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a scrumptious breakfast of pancakes and bacon, accompanied by the delightful sweetness of maple syrup, all in the company of a dear friend, within a truly lovely space. Let me tell you, it was an experience that nourished both our bodies and souls! The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enchanted by the inviting ambiance and the charming decor. The lovely space exuded warmth and coziness, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed breakfast and meaningful conversations. The soft lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful decorations contributed to a calming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. As we settled into our seats, our friendly server, Emily, greeted us with a warm smile. Her genuine enthusiasm and attention to detail immediately set the tone for a delightful dining experience. Emily's impeccable service made us feel like valued guests, as she guided us through the menu with expert knowledge and ensured that our orders were taken promptly and accurately. The culinary delights that awaited us were nothing short of extraordinary. The pancakes were flawlessly cooked, fluffy and light, while the bacon boasted a perfect balance of crispiness and savory goodness. The drizzle of maple syrup added a delightful sweetness, enhancing the flavors and creating a harmonious blend that satisfied our taste buds. Every bite was a moment of pure bliss, made even more enjoyable by the delightful company of a dear friend. As we savored each morsel, Emily checked on us regularly, ensuring that our needs were met and offering attentive service without intruding on our conversation. Her thoughtful presence added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to savor a scrumptious breakfast of pancakes and bacon, accompanied by the sweet touch of maple syrup, while enjoying the company of a dear friend, and immersing yourself in a lovely and inviting space, this restaurant is an absolute gem. The combination of delicious food, flawless service from Emily, and the warm ambiance will leave you with a memorable and satisfying breakfast experience that lingers in your heart and taste buds. Bon appétit and cherish the wonderful moments in this delightful space with your friends.
