I've been to this branch now a couple of times but before then I had always gone to the one in Dulwich Village, which was my introduction to Megan's. I've always loved the aesthetic, which is consistent in the Lordship Lane branch, very bright, natural wood tones and fairy lights summarises it very well.
On this occasion I went there to do some work on my laptop, they are indeed truly laptop friendly and dog friendly. I also had two small dogs with me, never have had any issue with them ever by any staff member, they've always been very welcoming and always wanting to meet the dogs.
I went on a Saturday late afternoon to get work done, wasn't busy and to have a hot drink. I had their Biscoff Latte, it was okay but I'm pretty particular about my roast and it tasted more on the burnt side but could also just be the diluted Biscoff taste itself. It still tasted okay but would probably stick to a hot chocolate next time as it's easier to get right for everyone.
The service is really good, I was left alone enough to do my work without feeling like I was forgotten amongst other diners. But they also checked in on me where it wasn't irritating, which often times can be the case.
I had their open "posh lamb" doner kebab before heading home. For those who have had the experience of post-night out lamb doner kebab takeaway, this is not that and I do love that too. I would say this is a healthier version? The texture was very similar to Chinese crispy duck/lamb and pancakes. It was shredded in texture, it didn't have an abundance of strong flavours but all of ingredients in the wrap together worked well as a whole. The lettuce could have been crunchier, along with having more of the pickle cabbage to cut through the creaminess and the flatbread itself was a little dry. But like I said, all together was tasty and the portion was more than enough that I ended up taking my side home. The menu has a lot on it, so it's worth trying other dishes to find one that is more right for your tastebuds.
The star of the show was the Halloumi fries with honey, it is a must have order! I'm not so sure of the price as it was a little over £7 but I haven't had it in a while so was craving a little. If it's salt and sweet you're after, really worth a try!
Lastly, the staff were so friendly, from management to wait staff they were really lovely and attentive.
I will return due to all the positives of being able to do work with little disturbance, great service and good food. Plus dog friendly, love...

Rating: ★★★★☆
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Megan's on Lordship Lane with my family for brunch, and I am excited to share our experience!
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant exudes a charming and cozy vibe, with its eclectic decor and vibrant colors that create a delightful experience. The playful touches, such as the flower-adorned tables and charming wall art, set a relaxed tone, making it an ideal spot for a family brunch.
Now, let's talk about the food! The menu at Megan's offers a delightful range of brunch options, catering to both sweet and savory cravings. I opted for the classic avocado toast, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ripe avocados were perfectly seasoned, and the addition of poached eggs made it a filling meal that was still light.
My family members chose various dishes, including a hearty full English breakfast and fluffy pancakes with fresh berries and maple syrup. Each dish was well-prepared and filled with quality ingredients. The full English was generously portioned and included all the traditional components — the sausage was especially delicious! Meanwhile, the pancakes were a hit with the kids, and the sweetness of the berries balanced beautifully with the maple syrup.
Megan's also offers a selection of refreshing beverages. We tried the fresh-pressed juices and specialty coffees, both of which elevated our brunch experience. The service was attentive and friendly, with the staff making sure we were satisfied throughout the meal without being intrusive.
Overall, our experience at Megan's on Lordship Lane was wonderful. The combination of a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive service made it a memorable brunch outing. I would highly recommend Megan's to anyone in the area looking for a delightful place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. We will definitely be returning to explore more of their...
Read moreThe person who seated us was lovely. However, having asked to order due to a significant wait, the server was unable to properly answer my questions about a menu item which led to me being served something I couldn't eat due to an intolerance. When I was presented the dish by a seemingly- senior colleague, I realised her colleague's omission in the description of the dish (despite me having asked for this very reason). The meal was removed and I was not offered an apology or an explanation of what would happen next. It was only when I asked what was happening (when she returned with my friend's chips)that I was told it would be made again without the specific ingredient. Still no apology. A few minutes later, she returned with the same meal and mentioned that the proposed remade meal would also contain dairy and asked if that would be okay. At this point she showed me a vegan option should I have wished to have that instead (I'm not a vegan, just intolerant to certain types of dairy). I decided I would prefer not to have anything at all at this point. I was made to feel like it was my fault for having ordered a meal I couldn't eat, rather than due to lack of staff knowledge about the menu items. No one apologised at any point. Overall, very poor and rude service.
Thank you for responding. I feel like you've missed my point - my main issues are that I was treated like I was the problem (from when I initially asked what the dish was comprised of and didn't receive the correct information, to when I pointed out to the person who served me the dish that I wouldn't be able to eat it because, despite asking, I hadn't been informed of a significant component) and that I did not receive an apology at any point. The rudeness and disdain with which I was treated is what really needs to be addressed, along with staff knowledge of the menu (not on an individual-ingredient basis of course, but they should be able to list the main components of each dish, which my...
