Mirch Masala Tooting – A Hidden Gem for Flame-Grilled Goodness 🔥 If you’re after kebab rolls that pack serious flavour without denting your wallet, Mirch Masala Tooting is the spot. Their flame-grilled meats deliver that unmistakable smoky char, and the prices? Easily among the lowest in London for the quality you get. 📍 Location: Just a short walk from Tooting Broadway Underground, making it super convenient for families and groups. 🍽️ Ambience: Spacious seating and a relaxed vibe make it family-friendly and ideal for casual dinners or quick bites. ⚡ Service: Fast, efficient, and no-nonsense. You’ll be served quickly without compromising on freshness. ✅ Halal Certified: A major plus for those seeking halal options without sacrificing taste or variety. 💸 Value: From kebab rolls to curries, the menu is budget-friendly and generous in portion size. You won’t leave hungry or broke. Whether you’re local or just passing through, Mirch Masala Tooting is a reliable go-to for authentic Pakistani flavours, especially if you’re craving grilled meats and warm hospitality.

Mirch Masala in Tooting is a popular Pakistani restaurant known for its authentic flavors, great value for money, and lively atmosphere. The restaurant has been a local favorite for many years, attracting a busy crowd with its consistently delicious dishes and casual, welcoming environment. One of the highlights is their kebab offer, which is excellent! Always well seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also serve a variety of other favorites, including a tasty paneer wrap and classic halwa puri, showcasing their diverse menu beyond traditional kebabs. Despite being busy most nights, Hasan, a key member of the staff, always provides excellent service. He ensures customers’ needs are met, which is impressive given how hectic the restaurant can get. If you’re after genuine Pakistani cuisine with friendly service and good value, Mirch Masala is a must-visit in Tooting.

It shouldn't be legal to sell the food I received. I ordered a takeaway (Butter chicken, Aloo Saag, mushroom rice and some naan bread), on a Saturday about 8pm. The moment the food arrived it was obvious that its old reheated food. The spinach in the Aloo was broken down to just small particles with oil that shouldn't exist in the dish. The Butter Chicken tasted like something from a supermarket that's been reheated a few times over the past week. It doesn't look like a chef was involved in the making of this food. When we got around to the naan bread we were surprised that even those were not fresh and the condition of the Keema really turned our stomachs. We had to throw the whole thing away. A massive shame given all of the otherwise glowing reviews. Really terrible food and a waste of £20

Worst experience ever!!! Defo AVOID!!!

The resturant is definitely not fit for women or for a family. Manager is rude, Owner Hassan is a total nutcase no respect for women what so ever.

Took my mum with family here for mother's day, seating was very cramped...manager said in Urdu "they that big that they cant sit there" whether or not a person is big what he said was very disrespectful to which i had to say "there is not enough room, how do you expect anyone to sit there". One of our starters were mixed grill, the one we ordered has 3 pieces of each, the waiter said he would change it to 4 pieces for £19...asked if we could get more meat tikka instead of wings to which i was told it was not ppssible...it was pointless ordering the 4 pieces as we dont have a huge appetite...it was only when my brother was a little forceful did the waiter go and ask if the wings could be exchanged that this was done. We had our starter with which we had to ask them to bring the bread/Naan, after which it took them a good 15-20 mins for the curries to come. I can say that the only thing we liked was the kababs in the mixed grill...the rest of the food had either too much garglic or too much ginger. I do alot of different cusine tasting and can defintely confirm that this was by far the worst one i have come to. Karachi chicken tasted like chicken curry...they are both cooked in different ways...the tadka daal was too watery and to top it up had to wait 10 min for thr naan to come after the curry had come...resulting in the curry getting cold. Asked for 3 glasses to have some water in and the man would only brought one. Asked another waiter for 2 glasses again brought only one. Told the third waiter that we had asked for 3 glasses and only been given 2 could he get us one more he ended up bringing 3. Complete shambles. Kept informing the waiters how we were not happy with the food, but not one did the manager seriously stop listen and act instead when told he spoke to us like he was speaking to the whole crowd how he was sorry it was not up to standard. A family of three had to wait for soo long after their starter that they got up after their starter and left. Our meat tikka either it was raw or burnt...tadka daal too watery...karahi chicken tasted like normal chicken curry. To top it up they didnt have a proper bill, we were given a bill with our order that was taken and a total at the top...not even an...

We had gone on a Sunday night to Sadiq Khan's Tooting constituency after a long time and had visited the Mirch Masala curry house so we had high expectations about the so called "award winning food" that so many talk about. To say the experience was great would be an understatement and we were greatly disappointed at the poor quality of the food which was horrible.

We had ordered a mix grill priced at £15, which was okay, but not great. The chicken wings included were steamed and not grilled which was disappointing and look like they had been extracted from another dish to make up the grill. Then we ordered the "chefs weekend special" Nihari and mutton pilau both were £8 each so were not overly expensive but the quality suffered immensely. The Nihari portion was of a good size however the gravy which was meant to be thick and creamy was instead watery and salty and did not taste like a nihari specialty dish what so ever. To make the experience even worst, the side plate of chillies, fried onions, lemon and ginger which is complimentary with the nihari had been given once we finished the dish. The mutton pilau was literally boiled rice mixed with curry sauce and had mutton pieces added in, so it was not even a mutton pilau.

I think the food at Mirch Masala is catered to the local Brits who like a try a curry, but for the food is not for lovers of Pakistani cuisine. I would definitely give this place a miss if you ever visit the "hell hole" that is Tooting (especially as you drive in from outside of London). The food was horrible, the service was poor and i definitely will not be...

Never again - very rude staff and customer service.

These people work off a cast system- they do not treat people the same and has shown there dislikes towards black people.

I waited over an hour for my food, whist observing people come into the restaurant, order, eat and leave.

I literally felt like I was a begger begging for food, despite paying for a service with my hard earned cash. Had to ask many times for a drink and my starters, despite waiting almost 40mins. As a black person and the only black person dining in that day, I felt humiliated as i was treated different and ignored for the best part of my experience.

The manager is also rude he didn’t do anything to help the matter other than shout at me when i tried to bring the concern to his attention.

There toilet is unhygienic and very dirty - urine all over the floor and no toilet roll. When brought to there attention there response was ‘what do you want me to do’. They’re clearly more interested in taking peoples money than ensuring they have a good experience.

Couldn’t get to enjoy the food was so disappointed by the time it actually arrived. Portions were small and after begging for the bill, I notice that they tried to overcharge me by £5.

Will never step foot back in that place. They all need to take a lesson in humanity and customer service because its very obvious that they lack compassion and empathy. Am a very...
