We have been to Lahore Karahi so many times previously. And the service and food used to be really good.

And I Usually dont write bad or poor reviews, as I dont like to bad mouth for the businesses. I hope that the owner will read this review and try to check in there CCTV feed.

Today when we went there for lunch, The restaurant was not really busy. We have asked the table for 2people. When the server came to take order, we ordered ad a Starter 2 Papadoms LAMB SEEKH KEBABS. As Main - Aloo Baingan, Chana daal, Chicken Biriyani and Garlic naan. When we have ordered, we have precisely asked him NOT TO SEND STARTER AND MAIN TOGETHER.

Yet when our SEEKH KEBAB came and we have started eating, literally 5 min later all our Main course meal been served on our tiny table...... this was the reason I have asked them from the beginning not to bring all food together.

This literally put us off, that even we have asked not to bring all food at once...... They still did that.

More to this there was 0 customer service to our table😑😑😑😑😑😑😑 We have noticed that the owner of the restaurant was having lunch right the table behind us, and whatever staff was on the floor they were giving most attention to the owners.

We have asked for the water when we have arrived, and we never got the water untill I have asked one of the staff while half way of our lunch. The reason behind it was that no one came to our table to even ask once if all was alright or not😐😐😐...... Then the staff came with the jug of water and about to leave it on the table but there was no space, I asked him to just pour the watwr in the glasses. On that point he pour in my glassa and while pouring in my Husband's glass he over poured it and there was so much water on the table😕😕😕😕. He only said formally sorry and got the blue tissue to wipe........

We wanted to order one more Garlic naan, and we were looking if at least any staff can look at us so that we can order...... The ironic was that the table next to us have ordered only there breakfast deal and a tea which was way less food then we ordered but there was a better customer service provided to them.

We have been completely unattended by the staff throughout almost 45 min we were there. I the chicken biriyani thwre was 3-4 small pieces of chicken only, whaich was i m not bothered about any way. But the CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS REALLY POOR on we have spended almost ÂŁ43...

My mum and I tried the restaurant based on a recommendation in a magazine, booked a table for 6pm and booking states parties up to 6 people will be given tables for 2 hours. My mum and I arrived a little earlier at around 5:40pm, so should have been given the table until around 7:40pm. Experience to begin with was good, food was lovely but the whole experience was ruined due to the poor customer service at the end. We had barely been in the restaurant an hour and we were asked "who's in charge" and given a card machine to pay, no ask of whether we would like dessert/tea or coffee.

We did in fact ask for tea/coffee anyway only to be told they do not serve even though these are listed on the menu... We raised the issue with the manager on the way out only to be told he didn't have an answer to this. After this, the manager attempted to talk us into leaving a nicer review as he is a small business owner after us telling him we would be leaving this review. Having read other reviews once home, it seems we aren't the only ones to have been pushed out due to large groups waiting on tables.

As someone who has worked in hospitality/the restaurant business for 6 years, 2 of which were as a supervisor, under no circumstances should customers be forced out of their table to accommodate others (especially with a booking). There were many ways round this that I could have pointed out but instead you chose to push customers out and favour turn around over customer service. If you would like some advice I'd be more than happy to provide it!!!

Overall, we got up because we were forced to leave and the next group were standing over us waiting on seats. We were there for around only 1 hour. The experience of the service honestly ruined everything, we won’t be back - if I were you I would stick to takeaway as nothing to fault...

This is a restaurant I've been coming to since the early 80's due to the food. But of lately, I've noticed the downtrend of service and the quality of food. Today was shocking I decided to take the Mrs out and we decided to have lunch at Lahore Karahi. The service was appalling as we waited with four other customers waiting to be served. There was just 6 customers before midday all waiting to get there order taken. I had to walk to the cashier to get a waiter across. The service was shocking as we ordered soft drinks first to glance at the menu. The waiter delivered the soft drinks without any glasses,.so I asked politely if he could bring the glaases. The response was I have only two hands and I replied I'm aware of that but wouldn't it been better to bring everything on tray. He just walked off. The waiter took our order without writting it down which I noticed and I replied to him, again if he needed me to repeat myself. He just walked off. The order came after 20 minutes and it wasn't what I ordered and the naan was cold like it was left overnight which should have been binned. I took the food myself back to the counter where the chefs was and said to him politely I didn't order this and the the naan is cold and I'm still waiting for my order I placed. The waiter who took my oder came rushing out of the kitchen apologising that it Was the chefs mistake. If he had written it down like they are supposed to I guess this wouldn't have happened. Anyway the atmosphere, food and service has completely gone down. It's shame as I really enjoy the food as I have been coming here for so many years not this time. I didn't even mentioned as why me and 4 other customers were waiting due to the fact chef were to busy serving the Uber eats drivers and the waiter no where to be found. I hope they rectify there appalling...

Shocking Experience – Breach of Religious Faith and Unethical Behavior I am deeply disturbed and hurt by my recent experience. I had placed an order for strictly *vegetarian* food, but was shocked to find what appeared to be *beef* in one of the items. As someone who follows a pure vegetarian diet for religious reasons, this was not just a mistake — it was an emotional and spiritual violation. What made the situation even worse was the response from the restaurant staff. When we raised our concern, they casually mentioned that “there is a 1% chance that your paneer dish might contain non-veg, but the dal cannot.” This kind of uncertainty is unacceptable. But the most alarming part came when we began packing the dal to take with us. The staff suddenly appeared nervous and tried to prevent any further questioning by saying, “We’ll give you fresh dal, please eat this one instead.” This clearly indicated that they were aware something was wrong and wanted to hide it rather than take accountability. This is not how a responsible restaurant behaves. Customers trust food outlets with their faith, their health, and their beliefs. Playing with someone’s religion and then trying to cover it up is absolutely unethical and deeply disappointing I urge the management and the platform to take strict action and ensure such incidents are never repeated. This isn't just about food this is about respect, faith, and basic human decency.

The lovely restaurant on the corner before the market serves up a proper bit of grub .. the kebab roll is enough to have for lunch ,. It’s absolutely beautiful with the perfect amount of spice . The first time a had one I got chilli sauce and to be honest it blew my head of
so the next time I went for mango chutney and that is a game changer for me
the roll comes with fresh salad and two kebabs wrapped in a naan bread for the steal of only £2:50 ,. I promise you will feel pleasantly full and content
the place is clean the staff are friendly and cant wait to try other things on the menu ..

Considering how busy this Pakistani restaurant is it was a remarkably underwhelming experience. The tables and seats are tightly packed in, with much of the food pre-prepared and on display canteen style. Being so crowded and large glass windows only echoing the noise, it’s frequently as loud as rowdy pub at 9pm on a Friday night. Staff are very quick and keen to turn over the table as quickly as possible, so expect them to be cleaning your table down the moment you’ve paid, to prep for the next guests. When asked which of our dishes was which, we received a near indecipherable two second blast of “thatistikkamasakatharisbutterchicken” before he dashed off. So paradoxically service is both bad and very fast at the same time. But the biggest issue of all? The food just wasn’t that tasty. From poppadoms to naan, it was serviceable but uninspiring and inconsistent. The tikka masala was not too bad, but the butter chicken terrible. Lahore Karahi is definitely edible, especially if you like loud and lovely venues, but otherwise you’ve got plenty of better curry options along the High Street. If you found my review or photos helpful, please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you!
