Best Indian food in London, been ordering from here daily, fresh home style cooking, tried most of the list, the jelfrezi arrived with lots of fresh crunchy vegetables in the sauce, the king prawn puree this is so very tasty, I always ask them to pack it separate a fun dish, the butterfly prawn this is excellent, I squeeze fresh lemon on to it makes even more tasty (please add a slice of lemon with the orders). The briyani range tried them all arrives with dal and boiled egg so very authentic and traditional.
The chefs making this food know about the different flavours on the Indian sub continent herbs and spices, my favourite is the vindaloo, big hot flavour, the mushrooms rice is extraordinary special, the sag aloo is a nice side dish, it's more on the aloo side then the sag, I personally like it like this.
I have seen some of the reviews as one star, I'm not sure why that is, it's definitely 5 star take away.
I wish I discovered this place sooner as, this place is great alternative to home cooking , which can take 2-3 hours to prapare these type of traditional flavours, thank you Moguls for freeing my time and serving such authentic food.
The spices are toasted and cooked well and this is evident in the taste, and every dish is different in flavour, they keep the oil to a minimum so you get richness of the souce
I wish you all the best for all the hard work that goes into bringing us these big flavours, especially during this very challenging times, I have recommended your take away to my friends and family. The food arrives hot and double bag, so very few places do this, the dal always has a double lid.
(on the very few occasions they got our order wrong they have arrived with replacement within 20 minutes) , They are professionals here.
The Portion size for the briyani is really for two, I can never finish one myself, most of the dishes are for sharing, however the dal is so very tasty it's for one(. , I pritty much oder from them daily usually via uber and you can get a nice promotional discount.
The order arrives mint and red chill sauce (hot) and a mini Indian salad, I hope they start offering larger Indian salads this usually have garden peas and are a great compliment...
Read moreOne of the worst Indian food I’ve come across, the butter chicken is rubbery plain and coloured, sauce lumpy let’s not start on the smells also from the gone off milk or coconut whatever is in the rice you “buy separately” Nan and chapati was doughy and looked off I knew it as soon as it arrived something was off and still decided to try a little of it, I instantly regretted this and will go back to order with dhaka tandoori and smooth butter chicken comes with the rice if you’ve ordered from there you know it smells fresh and is delicious i came across it weeks before but it was closed the day I ordered this foul food. Also washed off the chicken and it was coloured red on the outside and completely bland rubbery plain in inside with 0 taste I was “looking” for the taste at that point instead of actual taste of “anything”! Threw the big order in the bin instantly and...
Read moreOrdered a mixed grill. 6/10 lamb tikka and chicken tikka had the flavo but missing the char. Paneer and tandoori chicken was good. Shish kebab was standard
Vegetable Curry. 4/10. Needs more balance of spices to show distinct flavours. Never would expect a broccoli as an indian Vegetable curry. Generally tasted very bland. Scoring a 4 is still considered very generous.
,chicken tikka biriyani. 5/10. Would have hoped for a side salad. Tasted very much like your average pilau with chicken tikka pieces. No distinct flavours all medled in with no harmony.
Red sauce was a 9/10. Needs a little heat but very flavourful and sweet.
Generally for an indian take away i would have higher expectations. PFC biriyani is still the way to go in my books. Moguls kitchen will need to step up and standout, unless their specialty is...
