Monoux Coffee House — Restaurant in London

Vigilance is crucial.

This cafe is a well orchestrated business. The location is near to school/college so it's easily accessible for a quick pop in.

However, I'm going to get straight to the point which states in the sub heading "vigilance is crucial". My family and I have used this cafe before and had seen or had no issues until last week.

My father and I went to the cafe ordered our usual. The staff who serve never accommodate correctly when it pertains to our order. Sauces such as chili which my dad always uses they never provide. The onions in my father's plate were so chunky and the portion was overloading the plate.

My halloumi panini was overdone, dry like the Sahara desert, barely any butter. The staff's hygiene standards really should be called into question. My father and I after we narrowly skimped our meals saw the woman who serves the food use the restroom flushed the toilet and came straight back out within an instant.

Let that sink in. My father used the restroom in shock and disgust by what we just witnessed saw the sink was dry meaning it was never used. The same woman was in kitchen chopping vegetables for another poor victim to consume....

My final verdict for this cafe is 0/5 stars, well earned for the complete disregard for basic hygienic standards. Really a horrific sight let alone thought of staff serving and preparing your food without any sanitary conduct. Straight up sanitary misconduct and down...

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE IN A GOOD MOOD OR HUNGRY.

Visited with my daughter and ordered myself FRIED mushrooms on toast. Asked for them to be well done and crispy. Asked for cheddar on the side.....Slimy mushrooms onto of melted cheese was bought to my table. I returned it and the guy behind the counter (chunky turk in his mid 20's) said he would change it. I was then given another plate with burnt toast and more slimy mushrooms. I ate as much as I could and then told the guy that served me. I showed him my plate with the burnt toast and slimy mushrooms. His response was "I don't care, that's as well done as we are doing the mushrooms today".

I paid full price. Will never return. Ignorant hostile attitude of the guy serving and sub standard food.

Bring back the older Turkish man, who always smiled and made the food how my colleagues FROM THE COLLEGE NEXT DOOR TO THE CAFE and...

The guy taking orders was ok but please be careful of the angry chef, he has a bad attitude! ( I feel they are racist too) . HE TOLD ME.. “TO GET OUT IF I DON’T EAT PORK!” And cussed me in his language !!! Watched him prepare my food ( thank god ). While fingering RAW BACON bare handed ( after I told him I don’t eat pork ) and buttering toast while scratching his scalp with the same hand.! ( unwashed ). I was flabbergasted by his food hygiene standards . Crazy work from this old man.. I asked for an egg sandwich and they told me they can prepare this in a frying pan away from grill as I don’t eat pork.. which was fine, until I was in for a surprise .. will most definitely never eat from here. Would of gave 0...
