Moustache Bar Dalston — Restaurant in London

We were a group of 75 people (students and lecturers) looking for a space to hold our end of term party. Azem and his team could not have done more to help us. All my questions were answered in a very timely manner when we were planning the event and Azem was totally accommodating. We had external caterers provide food and Azem was extremely helpful in helping them set up. Whatever we needed he could provide. We had a band for live music and the set up was great for that, which then turned into a dance floor with a DJ and we could use the decks as well. There was only a £150 holding fee if we spent £700 at the bar which we hit no problem, so therefore the venue hire was free. Unbelievable price for London and Azem's hospitality was incredible I really cannot speak higher of this venue and the service. I would highly recommend for any event! My son & I hired this place for his 30th birthday party and they did not tell us a few things, first that they were going to have a live act hence we could not get into the space early to set up the balloons and decorations. Then we were told that our whole event could finish at 3am but on the night the security guard shut the music off at 2am and kicked us out. I would not recommend this place for any event hire. What was worse we could not get a hold of the manager/own to clarify to the security staff that he had given us the place until 3am... Took my money. Was told to expect dance music on the door. Paid £13 x2 to enter and walked down to what I’d describe as karaoke folk.

Immediately returned to the door expecting no issue being refunded (as this must have been a joke) only to be told that the guys on the door couldn’t work the machine to refund, and they couldn’t refund me from the bar because they weren’t linked to them. Gave us 2 drinks worth £5 for our trouble and sent us packing - horrendous.

If the owner of the bar reads this - you should scrap the promoters you had on the door this evening. Absolute amateur hour....
