This restaurant is just great. I have been so many times both on my own and with various friends. And I am actually missing it right now as it’s yummy delish! Make sure you go with a bunch of friends as it’s all about sharing the various cold and hot starter meze platters as well as the main dishes. This way you can try the different tastes and flavours from all over Middle East to explore and make up your own combo. My pics are from two different occasions and show my favourite combinations. My all favourite and the staff knows is their signature dish: chicken in yogurt, pumpkin in yogurt, mixed pickles and rice. Although right now I wouldn’t say no to their tender lamb tagine with rice, pickles and tabbouleh salad. It’s not all about meat as half of their menu is actually vegetarian and vegan dishes. If you like cocktails then I suggest their spicy margarita or the zer signature cocktail. And I can assure you that one leads to another … Enjoy your journey in this cosy little spot in London Dalston - Stoky where it’s all freshly made everyday. When a dish is finished then it’s finished for the day.

First of all, from the beginning to the end, the service was amazing. Especially Heja was great, greeted us with a sincere, warm welcome and paid attention to us and our requests until the very end. Special thanks to Heja! I am vegan and they informed me well about the ingredients. The pea hummus with za'atar, served as a beginner, was extraordinary. Chickpea and wheat steam is one of the best vegan dishes I have ever had, almost like my mum's dishes. Rice is also vegan and it tastes good. I wish there was a vegan bread option as well, just in case a vegan customer would like to eat bread, especially if you think of the importance of bread in Middle Eastern cuisine. But all in all, it is a good place for a vegan since they have many vegan options and can turn some dishes into vegan ones as well. They are very helpful in this case.

Travelling the middle east can be a trek...hence the prodigious use of camels. Here, they aim to get you around the troubled territory with their menu. For the most part it works well. Highlights include the artichokes and cauliflower...both good enough to serve back on the sand. The rest are all passable, in both senses. They don't offend (which as we know can be problematic in the countries of origin), but don't thrill either. Raw materials are not easily sourced here of the quality required to make these great. The falafel are ok, but mild in flavour and drier than I'd expect when ive travelled...and lesser than some I've tried elsewhere in the UK. The service is friendly and it's a good spot for a well priced venture across the red sea.

What a WONDERFUL place! My partner and I visited Zer for a late lunch and we cannot express how happy we are that we found this place. We have eaten A LOT of Middle-Eastern food and this was definitely one of the best. The menu was so exciting and we cannot wait to try more!

the food was absolutely beautiful and great value for money. We ordered the falafel wrap and pumpkin with yoghurt dish, which were both tasty and cooked perfectly. The wrap was crispy on the outside and packed with flavour. We were also given some AMAZING deserts which satisfied my sweet tooth.

The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully with a lovely bathroom. Although we were there during the day, we can imagine that the restaurant is beautiful on an evening and has a lovely atmosphere. The ceramic plates and bowls were gorgeous and lovely to eat from.

By far the best thing about this place are the people. We were made to feel extremely welcomed and were well looked-after during our visit. Although we did not get her name (we are guessing she is the owner), the lady who served us was so lovely and we left feeling so happy and grateful to have stumbled upon this place.

Anyone in the dalston area should not hesitate to pay this place a visit. It is the perfect place to have a coffee whilst working, have drinks and meze with friends or go for a lovely lunch like we did. As promised, we will be back and soon as possible and we will bring more people with us/ spread the word.

Thank you again and look forward to visiting...

I had the halloumi wrap which was said to be with salad, as a side there were additionally always chips. But as the plate there were no chips but the salad instead, only when we asked about it we were told that they were out of fries and replaced it by a salad. For me it was ok, but I didn't like the fact that they didn't even preinformed us or even when the dish came. For the price I also think it was a little dish but it tasted good. My boyfriend ordered meat balls which had to be served with bread, was okay. But I also wondered here if they intentionally asked if he liked to have rice with his dish before they brought him the bread. Rice was of course extra. Service was with 12,5% precalculated, which is normal as I learned here but I prefer it to define the tip on myself depending on the service. All in all I got the feeling that it was good food but a they tricked us...
