I went there for dinner on their first day opening for dinner. As a noodle and prawns fanatic, I was very happy when seeing that they have a nice list of noodle dishes options. I had a Tempura Prawn Udon. We’ll, generally this dish is quite simple, but still people often make mistakes in cooking the udon and the tempura. Even as simple mistakes as the soup itself. However, I really liked their Tempura Prawn Udon because the soup taste was just perfect and the most importantly, the udon also was cooked perfectly. It was not overcooked. Moreover, the Prawn Tempura also nice, big, and thick. It’s not those skinny cheap prawn tempuras. Overall, I was very satisfied and definitely will come back for the same menu! 😅 Maybe I’ll try the other menu on the 3rd time going there.
For the price wise, it was pretty good for a place within the city of London.
The only downside was the drink. I had a tea that was expecting something so traditional from a pot. But not. It was just a simple tea in the bag.
The service was also very good. The staffs were very friendly. And they gave us a very nice seaweed snacks with the bill. I really hope the complimentary seaweed snacks were not just during the opening week though! 😃 Small extra gesture is always will give a big...

I visited on opening day for lunch. There is a good selection of rice and noodle bowl options for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike. Portion sizes are not huge but are probably on a par with 'street food' vendors, the one advantage Mu Mu has is you can dine-in as well as take-away.
Opening day nervousness aside, staff were friendly and eager to explain the selection of dishes on offer. I opted for a minced chicken curry with berry rice. it was described as very spicy but I didn't find it remotely hot. That said, I regularly eat hot food so it may be that the dish would be described as spicy for those that don't. lack of heat aside, it was flavoursome. I also had a portion of spicy chicken sticks (chicken wings, 4 in a portion) which were nicely crunchy on the outside and moist inside.
The two dishes together were filling but didn't leave me feeling 'full' which is probably what you want for a lunch but you might find the total price of £10.30 (£6.80 for the curry and £3.50 for the wings) a bit much to make it a regular...
Read moreAmazing food that sorted my cravings, its difficult to find food thats not run of the mill, with generic flavours. Walked past, didn't think much of the place as it was empty... I'm assuming due to hot weather and the surrounding streets filled to brim with drinking revellers this is the reason it's rather quiet! (As I left the restaurant started to get busy)
Taking a slow stroll back towards my hotel, looking forward to filling my pie hole with thai inspired food. Walked in, it's was quiet, greeted with a beaming big smile from Kay, instantly felt welcome, we discussed the menu and settled on Chilli Thai Basil Chicken with Panang Chicken, with rice and Spicy Chicken Sticks and glass of chilled white wine.
My taste buds awoke from extended hibernation, I'd choosen food with heat with rich creamy coconut flavours, however the fresh Thai flavours burst through satisfying my inner cravings and awoke my passion for Asian cuisine.
If you're in the area, Mu Mu is a hidden gem amongst the...
