I visited Mustard London recently and it’s safe to say this place knows exactly what it’s doing. It’s one of those neighbourhood spots that feels effortlessly stylish without being try-hard—just good food, good service, and a chilled-out atmosphere that makes you want to settle in.
The first thing that stood out was the menu—it’s British comfort food, but done with real care and quality ingredients. I had the Mustard cheeseburger, and it was genuinely one of the better burgers I’ve had in a while. Perfectly cooked patty, soft bun, just the right amount of sauce. Nothing over-complicated—just really well-executed.
The truffle mac & cheese on the side was also dangerously good—rich, creamy, and properly indulgent without going overboard. You can tell they’ve thought about balance and flavour, not just loading things up for effect.
Drinks-wise, there’s a decent little cocktail list and a good mix of wines and beers. I had a classic negroni, and it was well made—not too heavy on the Campari, which I appreciated. Everything felt fresh and well-presented, but without the pretentiousness that sometimes comes with places that care this much about detail.
Service was friendly and laid-back—attentive without hovering. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy working there, which always adds to the vibe.
All in all, Mustard strikes that perfect balance between casual and quality. It’s the kind of place you can pop into midweek for a low-key dinner or bring friends at the weekend for something a bit more special without blowing your budget. I’ll definitely be heading back—next time I’ve got my eye on the...
Read moreI’ve been a regular at this shop for a while now, and I absolutely love the food—it's amazing, and the staff are usually fantastic. I go on my lunch breaks and 99.9% of the time, everyone is friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile. Unfortunately, my experience today was ruined by one particular staff member.
There was a woman (I’m not sure of her name, but I believe she may be Polish or Romanian) who was incredibly rude. I politely asked for a second container for my food, and she rolled her eyes and refused, even when I offered to pay for it. Her attitude was not only dismissive but also unprofessional, and honestly, I was shocked by how she spoke to me. It left me feeling uncomfortable, and honestly, I regret entering the shop today.
It’s disappointing because the rest of the staff are great, and I’ve never had an issue before. I really hope this was just an isolated incident, but if she’s in management, I would strongly recommend a review of customer service training. It was really off-putting, and I’m honestly not sure if I’ll return if I have to deal with that kind of attitude again.
I’m sure the rest of the staff were confused by her behavior too, as they always seem so friendly. But I don’t think I’ll be coming back if this is how I’m treated...
Read moreWe have been using Mustard for some years now for lunches for 1 meeting a month but after lockdown one of the other caterers we used stopped trading so we decided to try Mustard for all our lunches .
They have been excellent in many ways. The lunch boxes are varied and well put together with a tasty choice of Wraps, Sandwiches, Ciabatta and Salads with a good, meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan selection. There is also a good selection of cakes and deserts, our favourite is Pastel De Nata.
We have used Mustards for all sizes of lunches from just a small meeting up to a conference of 100 and the standard is always top class. The staff are very friendly and helpful and deliveries are on time.
Delivery is usually by bike which is very sensible and eco friendly.
i would recommend Mustard to anyone needing reliable, economically priced and tasty...
