Terrible Service – Very Disappointing Experience

I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The waitress brought my orange juice with a straw in it, and when she served our plates, she handed me the plate over the orange juice. The glass spilled all over me, and instead of apologizing, she said, “Oh, you caught the straw,” as if it was my fault.

Despite her behavior, I stayed calm and polite and thanked her when she finally brought some napkins several minutes later. However, she didn’t offer a replacement orange juice, and I was still charged for the spilled drink, which I find completely unacceptable. She remained unfriendly throughout, didn’t smile once, and acted annoyed as if she just wanted us to leave.

This kind of service is disrespectful and unprofessional. I was disappointed to be confronted with this kind of behavior, it is not hard to take responsibility for this kind...

I been to My Place twice and although the food is good and the atmosphere is very cozy, the service is absolutely rude. The first time I came with a friend who asked for warm water with our food and we were -after offensive looks and drama- charged for it like if we asked for two cappuccinos. The second time, yesterday, I was given attitude by the waitress when I asked information about the Marocchino coffee on the menu. After a while, the same waitress put down a second coffee on the table and when I quickly stated it was not mine she snapped at me saying I know! (She just wanted to be able to open the door before she took it to whoever ordered it. Which is ok but I wasn’t aware of it at all, I wasn’t told anything!). We had brunch here on New Years Eve and the food was really nice. The decor and atmosphere were also brilliant, I love cosy, cool places rather than pretentious, expensive spots, so this suited me perfectly.

My only two complaints would be that the music was a bit too loud. When a lot of customers aren't talking to each other it's time to turn it down. I did mention it to our waitress and she said she'd see what she could do, but I didn't notice it getting any lower.

The food also took a long time to come out. We weren't in a hurry but it was dragging on a while, easily, 30 minutes for simple enough brunch dishes. And when the food did come out, it came up from the kitchen in one big batch and then sat on the counter for 5 minutes or so before being handed out, leading the food to be a bit cold.
