Overall itâs a nice place. Positives: ⢠The coffee is very nice, I especially really enjoy their filter coffee every time, which I really appreciate. ⢠The staff are nice and friendly people. ⢠I really appreciate that they open at 7am. Itâs hard to find this in the UK. ⢠I really appreciate that they have WiFi. ⢠Clean bathroom. ⢠The space is cozy and nicely decorated, I like the books especially.
Negatives: ⢠In my opinion, the music is way, WAY too loud. At 7am the music is absolutely blasting and it tends to be very base & beat-heavy music that I would never want to listen to that time of the morning. I literally put my noise-cancelling AirPods in and then over-ear headphones on top to desperately try and make things quieter, but this is very uncomfortable and even then, sometimes I genuinely just canât stand the noise and have to go home. I just think this level of noise is totally unbearable and - as someone who has worked in many coffee shops and managed on - I understand for the staff it can be nice to get the energy flowing on an early-morning shift⌠but I feel this totally disregards the environment you create for the customers. ⢠Sometimes the staff go outside to smoke and sit right next to the door, so the smoke comes into the cafe and I have to smell it the whole time that person is smoking. Personally, I really hate cigarette smoke and I once again feel the customerâs are being disregarded when they are forced to inhale cigarette smoke or have the smell of it, at the convenience of the staff. ⢠I have been a loyal customer and collect stamps. One time I forgot my card and started a new one, every cafe Iâve ever been to with a physical stamp card will happily combine them for you. When I tried to combine them, I was told âwe donât do that because it wastes paperâ. While I can appreciate this: (1) their stamp cards have the thickest paper Iâve ever seen, (2) thereâs an entire half of the card that is totally unused for stamps and only contains their logo which feels very wasteful, (3) if they are very concerned about paper waste, there are many paperless options that other cafes used. This isnât a big issue, it just felt quite hypocritical, and also not very deep-thinking. The extra card I had contained 1 stamp only - they could have easily just taken it and the next person who starts a new card gets that one â easily solved â ⢠The pastries (at least first thing in the morning) often tasted a little bit stale or not super fresh. I think they have more options later so maybe this improves, Iâm not sure. But I felt disappointed several times with the pastry quality so stopped...
Read moreOne star, but I would have preferred to leave none. Went over with a friend on Monday 27/08/2018, bank holiday. I ordered some coffee, a cappuccino and a Latte along with eggs with mushrooms (which you need another pound for) and some poached eggs. The coffee was delivered to the table promptly, but then 20 mins later...no food. I wondered how long it would take to crack a few eggs into a pan and serve. By this time both coffees were cold and I enquired about how much longer I would need to wait for my breakfast. I was told another 5 mins. To cut a long story, I would not recommend this place, to which was not that busy at 9am on a bank holiday. The service is super slow and the food does not taste that good anyway for the price you pay. Sorry N4 Coffee fruit....but I will "not" be returning and will "not" be recommending you to anyone in a good way. Total bill for 2 coffees and a couple of eggs with mushrooms and measly salad...
Read moreLovely little coffee spot near Finsbury Park Station. Theyâve got both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can enjoy a nice coffee whether youâre sitting in or catching a bit of sun. The staff are friendly, and itâs a great place to grab a takeaway if youâre on the go. Iâve tried their long black, americano, and espresso â all were spot on.
They also sell a selection of branded hot chocolates, coffee beans, and juices, plus a range of desserts to enjoy, including plant-based options if youâre dairy-intolerant. If youâre not a coffee person, they also serve matcha, house lemonade, smoothies, and milkshakes. Thereâs Wi-Fi available too if youâd like to work on your laptop, which Iâve seen a few people do.
They even have a bookshelf, so you can grab a book to read while enjoying your coffee.
Definitely gets a...
