Stuck for dinner on a Friday evening in the time of Covid lockdown as cba to make it, I had a hankering for Nandos. Had not been for years and it proved a great experience. Choice was ordering for collection or delivery direct via website or calling, via Deliveroo, or calling in to order and collect. I opted to order online and collect (Deliveroo worked out £1 cheaper with introductory offer, but delivery time was later than ordering/collecting direct). Menu was concise, easy to navigate and reasonably priced, especially if you cut down on the sides! We didn't and chose a hot whole chicken, three or four sides and a chicken wrap, cost 34 squid. A choice of collection times was presented, earliest of which was 45 minutes hence and that I chose. Payment was simple. Got there five minutes early, nowhere to park but Geddes Place HRC Church backing on to Nandos Bexleyheath seems to be an unofficial car park now and left car there. No queue at Nandos, just one guy collecting his food inside. He left, I entered, and helpful, friendly girl serving took my order number and food was already waiting being kept warm in a hostess oven by the door. It was handed over nicely wrapped in recyclable paper and cardboard. Food still hot enough to eat when I got home, despite outside temperature being minus 2. Food was DELICIOUS and I'll be back. Read moreOur supposedly happy Friday night with my family turned into a disappointing experience. We arrived at Nando's at 9 pm on the 31st of May, 2024 to dine in. We placed our order at 9:18 pm and received our starters on time, but we had to wait for almost 40 minutes for the main course. When I went up to the counter and politely asked the lady about the status of my order, she became arrogant and made excuses instead of being apologetic. She mentioned that it was busy as usual on a Friday and that the cooking time would be longer. It was 10 minutes before closing time, and my order still wasn't ready. I've been a cardholder regular customer at Nandos and I've never experienced this kind of bad service before. It's Friday night but I'm not a fool to be convinced that it is busy. There were not a lot of people dining in and it sad most of the people who came after us got their order 20 minutes earlier. I'm very disappointed that we had to cancel our order and ask for a Refund and just leave. Read moreThis location of Nadoos has the least wait times in the area on queues for eat-in, so thats a big positive. The staff is really friendly, polite & helpful, a second positive . Unfortunately, the order system can be cranky as we ordered our food for 3 that didn't go through the system for nearly 45 minutes although email confirmation came through immediately. We realised this when 3 families who came after us received their food ahead of us. We then had to request the staff to manually put through our order which arrived in 10 min, so we spent 55min waiting which contradicted our choice of visiting this location against Nadoos closer to us... There should be someone checking every 10 minutes if people have ordered & see if that order is in the queue. Also, drinks should be immediately served whilst the order is getting prepared as that is the whole point of ordering bottomless drinks! We are reluctant to visit this place again for the poor management of service. If there has been such a service issue, Nandoos should offer complimentary vouchers as compensation to retain...
