When I eat take away food, it's normally Nando's or alternatively fish and chips. I've had Nando's take away about 4 times in the last 2 weeks, before that also regularly but not quite as often.
Lately something is amiss. Although the orders have been delivered very quickly, there was always something missing, or I received 2 boxes (instead of 1) of chips and another side wouldn't be there at all. On one occasion only 1 box of fried halloumi was delivered - literally! - and no sign of half a chicken, chips or corn.
To avoid this confusion of late, I went into the Nando's personally. And still the order got rung up wrong - twice!, after questioning the amount and repeating my order yet again, I still ended up with a missing item. This time no halloumi, but everything was present and cooling down while I was [impatiently, by this time!] waiting for it to make an appearance.
I like Nando's, I think the food tastes great. But I am finding it very frustrating, to say the least, and am considering perhaps trying another branch to see whether they can manage to get a simple order of 5 items right.
I have been very loyal to the West Hampstead branch, and it's very convenient for me, but it's becoming pointless to use them as I end up wasting so much time trying to have mistakes corrected and then having to wait even longer for the order to...
Read moreI come here yesterday for lunch and its the worst Nando’s I have visited. First of all there was staff members sitting at a table eating Pizza Hut and drinking beers which was extremely bizarre to see. Secondly there was no napkins or extra plates on show for you to help yourself, they have 3 bins in the toilet which takes up most of the room but also seems quite dirty reminded me of a train station toilet to be honest. After ordering food my sister ordered a soft drink she got a coke which was flat and then tried the Fanta which was also flat after passing this information on to the manager Sam she sent someone to resolve this issue 5 minutes passed and are food arrived as we started to eat the issue was still on going I asked her for a refund for the drink and instead she give me a new come and told me to wait a few extra minutes when I voiced I wanted a refund and didn’t want to wait any longer, she become extremely standoffish and really annoyed towards me it was a horrible experience and as a manager she shouldn’t make customers feel uncomfortable. For Deliveroo, we order from West Hampstead as the app works out this is the nearest Nando’s. We would order regularly and for all Members of family. My wife worked in the original Nando’s in South Africa. But one day, my son and I both noticed dirty fingernail pieces in the food. Just vial. Disgusting. We checked, double checked, and it was clear this was fingernails inside the chicken wings he ordered. My wife explained that during the cooking process all cooks should be wearing gloves and this was clearly not the case. Germs, disease, is not something that anyone wants to eat. This has been reported to the health authorities that are now looking into it. We can no longer eat at Nando’s, even if they offered it free.
