I've been a regular customer of Nanny Bills in Wembley for a number of years now. Living locally, I often grab a burger for lunch or dinner as my go-to, and it never disappoints. However, my recent visit was an exception. During my lunch break I popped down to get a take away and noticed some new faces behind the till and in the kitchen. While the burger was made ready to order in 10 minutes, which was great, the quality was not up to scratch at all. Firstly, the patties were not juicy, flattened, and blackened like they usually are. Instead, they were two thick slobs of meat that were barely blackened, lacking their usual deep flavour and texture. The meat tasted rubbery and flavourless, and it was also really dry. Additionally, the chipotle sauce used on the burger tasted slightly off. I ordered two burgers, and unfortunately, they were both of the same quality. Considering the price points (£25 in total), the burgers did not meet expectations at all. This experience has made me hesitant to order again in the future, as I am not willing to splash out on a burger that may be hit and miss depending on who's in the kitchen.

I ordered takeaway via uber eats - but have eaten from here before at Boxpark. The team left a cute personalised note on the delivery bag to leave a review & enjoy my food which is a nice touch 🌟 In terms of food I ordered: 🍔 The Jam - disappointed with this. Looked delicious but the burger sauce was very pickle-y from the burger sauce, which overpowered any of the taste from the bacon jam 😔 good quality though. I’ve had burgers from here in the past which were better: Bacon Double Cheese, The Yard & The Little One I’d 100% recommend. 🧆 The croquettes live up to the hype! I got the mac & cheese ones and they were delicious. Only comment I would say is they’re slightly overpriced for how much you get, and I don’t rate the sauce that comes with them. I’d definitely buy these again though and recommend! 🍗 Buttermilk Fried Chicken strips were great, very succulent and the bbq sauce that came with was great. These I would buy again!! Overall, very yummy food and good quality.

Visited on a weekday lunch period, no queue, a little bit of a wait time from order to food but no more than 10 minutes. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was served hot and fresh and looked appealing. Ordered the Chicken Caesar Burger and it was tasty, the roast chicken mayo was creamy and tasted homemade, bacon bits were cripsy and little bites of parmesan cheese. There was more chicken in the burger than I expected although when you bite in you realise its more batter than actual meat. But any delicious tastes were overpowered by the amount of salt added to the rosemary salt fries! It was like licking a spoon of salt and so off putting I couldnt eat any of the fries and couldn't taste the rest of the burger! However, I do wish to go back and try the Beef Brisket Croquettes and maybe the Daltson Dip, so we'll see then if the rating will go up or down but for now its just a salty overpriced ok.

Visited in December 2018

Whenever I decide to eat something unhealthy, I’d always like to make it worth the “risk” and effort, so I’d always appreciate eating from somewhere which offers big and juicy burgers. Therefore, with that in mind, I decided to go and take a look to see what this place has to offer.

Before getting to the food, I found that the establishment seemed somewhat bare in the sense of how it’s all presented once you get inside the building itself. Perhaps it may be decorated more as time goes by, but it seems like a warehouse with some food stands - a bit like garages - a big screen TV and some bars. Quite a few of the food stands were still empty or closed, so I’m also guessing that more food merchants will take up a spot at some point in time.

As I fancied a burger, I decided to visit ‘Nanny Bill’s’ establishment.

I was expecting the food to be pricey, as most places these days are. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger, salted fries and a can of Coca Cola. To be honest, I was expecting to spend maybe £10 (or something quite close), but my whole bill for that came to £15; I thought this was a bit much. The menu board advertised some dipping sauces for about 45p (if I can remember correctly), but I was offered a sauce for free with my meal.

The food didn’t take that long to prepare, and the staff seemed very friendly.

I quite enjoyed the food, and it was what I was expecting. My girlfriend had ordered food from another food stall. Unfortunately I cannot remember which one it was, but I was quite impressed with her food too, after trying some small samples.

Overall, I think something like this fits into that market of appealing to tourists and visitors of Wembley Stadium and the arena, as they are situated within walking distance. With the amount of people that visit these venues during an event, it only makes sense to install even more food options. And with visitors being hungry straight before or after an event, they don’t really have that opportunity to go elsewhere and find something a little cheaper, so it’s almost as if they have no choice.

From a business standpoint, a place like this is a very good idea, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are in the area and just fancy a bite to eat. Whilst I did enjoy my visit, it’s not a place I would go out of my way to visit regularly; mainly due to the fact that a meal for one person can be quite expensive! But that is...

Lazy staff and service on the 07/08/25 at the box park Wembly. We ordered their signature burger with dipping gravy. The young girl who took the order was friendly and great, clearly on her first day at this branch and being trained how to use the till. After 15 mins of waiting near by with our buzzer, I went back to check on my order! To my surprise, no one was on the till and the manager had gone on a break and left the young girl on her own.

She was now in the kitchen, clearly struggling to work out how the orders were supposed to be put together. The chef on duty, instead of helping was standing with his feet on the side on his mobile phone doom scrolling!

With about 6 orders on, no one on the till and the chef on his mobile phone and the manager on a break, the young girl who was handling payments and the till, was now trying to wrap up the burgers and operate a deep fat fryer in an attempt to get the food out, that she clearly had no training on.

As we had been waiting sometimes, I spoke up loudly to get the chefs attention and told him to put his phone down and sort the food out, so the young girl could get back on the till. After giving me an evil eye, he unwillingly put his phone down and reluctantly started to plate up the food.

The food he plated up was not good. The fries were fine, but the meat in the burger tasted bloody and gamey (not in a pleasant way) and the patties were unseasoned and lacked what is expected of a good burger. The gravy was also just powdered stock base, not particularly nice and also lacked seasoning. Overall a disappointing mess.

For the poor management, lazy chef and low quality offering, I cannot recommend Nanny...

I recently ordered a delivery from them, having read good reviews on Deliveroo. They were supposed to be a premium burger place (I.e. like GBK or Honest Burger), so was very much looking forward to tucking into a very tasty burger. Oh how disappointed I was. Now the delivery time was quick I must say, and the food well packaged. However those are what I consider to be basic requirements. The fries were warm and crunchy, & I swear I could taste a hint of Rosemary in them. The small tub of gravy on the side was a welcome addition. However the The Bacon Double Cheeseburger which was supposed to blow me away was mediocre at best, in-fact i'd say it was no better than your McDonald's or Burger King but twice as expensive. The patties inside were not thick and juicy, instead they were dry and thin. Instead of my taste buds being treated to a variety of herbs and spices combining into the perfect blend combined with premium beef mince, what I got was two tasteless patties devoid of all flavour. The processed cheese inside was quite frankly horrible, and the "smoky bacon" tasted anything but smoked. I could describe the bacon as deffo being on the cheap side, worse than a supermarket own brand. It offered no saving grace to this "burger." I would go as far as to say the £6.50 I paid for a bacon cheese burger from a van outside the stadium on Sat, with fried onions, was much more tasty. Even the bacon (from a pig not a turkey) was of a better quality. All in all I would say it's overpriced and to avoid. Maybe the central London ones are better, the standard of this outlet is clearly low, & maybe that's because the customers round there have no...
