Lovely looking restaurant with a lot of potential. Went for a friend’s 40th birthday. It’s easy to find with a large car park at the back of the restaurant. Came here after doing a google search for halal restaurants in the area and this looked quite fancy and the menu was appealing too with a wide variety of dishes on offer.
6 of us dined here on a Saturday evening and this very large restaurant was practically empty - I guess this should’ve been our sign. We ordered food and waited over 40 minutes for it to arrive - staff were barely interested. Half of the group ordered off of the Indian menu and half ordered from the Turkish menu. The drinks arrived straight away and those who ordered mocktails were not very impressed - we even had to send the pina colada back. I ordered a ‘fresh’ lychee juice. When it arrived, it tasted like cheap watered down processed chemical lychee - when I told the waiter that I wanted to send it back, he admitted that it was out of a carton - there were no issues with replacing it with a lemonade however.
Now, let’s get to the food part. It was all awful. Nothing tasted fresh and everything lacked flavour and salt. The curries tasted like the food at old fashioned Bengali curry houses from 20 years ago - thankfully our palates have advanced since then - I’ve had better curries at weddings and on aeroplanes and even the cheap Kebabish down the road. The Turkish food was equally as bad - overcooked chicken that tasted of nothing. Will never eat here again. I don’t love being so negative but I think honest feedback is important so that anyone who reads this can save their money on this ridiculously overpriced food.
The restaurant smells like my kitchen when I’m cooking a curry - duh obviously you may say but I’ve been to so many restaurants and never leave feeling like I smell like the food being cooked in there.
Lastly, the bill. They got it wrong. Asked them to change it and they got it wrong again. Took them 4 attempts to get it right - needless to say, we did not pay the service charge, which was barely existent and also because we felt like we got robbed with the price of the food as it was.

I called in a day before to reserve a pod which they have for private dining. The deposit for the pod was £36 which the staff on the phone clearly said that £36 will be adjusted in to the final bill its just a deposit to reserve the pod. I went there and to double check I made sure I asked the staff again if I will get my £36 adjusted to my bill because there was notice inside the pod that said pod booking deposit will not be refunded or adjusted to the bill, he clearly said no you will definitely get that adjusted to the bill, its only for those who do not reserve a pod before hand and just walk in will not get the £36 refunded, but then when the bill came out the £36 was not deducted but me and the Mrs did not realise first untill we left the resturant and was almost half way back home, so we decided to go back and asked the staff that we seemed there was a mistake and the pod deposit was not deducted from the bill so then he tried to make us look like liers and say he did not say so, the manager came up to us who helped us because he asked the staff again if he had said that and then he admitted that he did say that. So the ended up refunding my money. Secondly I was disappointed at the food because me and the Mrs hardly touched any of our meal. Mrs got the lamb ribs I got biryani and meat curry and I must say the food was absolutely bland had little to no flavour to it the bulgur rice my Mrs ordered felt like plastic in the mouth the ribs had no seasoning at all the meat curry had no spice to it I was honestly disappointed with the food and service. It honestly ruined our whole Anniversary. Honestly they need to sort out the food and the staff. Im sorry but never again will I visit this place or recommend this...
Read moreWe visited this place soon after it's opening and had a pleasant experience so decided to return for a second time. Unfortunately this time we left very disappointed for a number of reasons. Firstly I ordered a Chicken bhoona and they forgot to make it. So whilst my entire group (seven people) were served their food I was left waiting with a bowl of sad boiled rice! I would have appreciated it if they admitted they had made a mistake but this didn't happen. When they finally served my curry, the chicken in the curry was very hard and had no flavour. The onions in the masala were not cooked properly, they were still crunchy! For £11.95 I expected more than this not an amatuer curry. We informed the waiter who himself tried the curry and agreed with my complaint. He offered a replacement however I was not prepared to wait again for food as my group were already half way through their meals!
Other complaints - Lamb Korai meat was very tough and hard to cut. Plain and butter naans are a bit pricey (£4.00 each) and some were burnt but the main issue was they were very sweet - personally I didn't enjoy the taste of them as they did not go well with the curries in my opinion.
Overall it was a horrible meal, I definitely wouldn't recommend the 'indian cuisine' here. If you know anything about curries you will not be impressed especially considering the prices. The waiter took off the chicken bhoona from the bill which was good as I didn't eat it but I left the restaurant unsatisfied and hungry! Furthermore he failed to remove the service charge! We did not want any commotion so just paid this but personally our experience was not worthy of service charge and found it cheeky that they put this on the bill. I feel like they could have done a lot more to compensate my spoilt meal and for this reason I will not be returning to...
