Ottomans — Restaurant in London

Ottomans restaurant serves some very good quality donor meat. They also have a great selection of Turkish dishes including all the usual favourites so the choice is quite impressive. The Halep was good, if a little light on the meat, but the Lahmacun with cheese was quite bland tasting. However the service left a lot to be desired. The young man serving us clearly had some issue with us as he was rude from the get go, impatient dismissive and quite obnoxious. The only reason I didn't walk out was because the other members of the group had all already ordered. While we waited outside for the order, a friend of his came in, and he was jovial and friendly, so it wasn't a case of his having a bad day. So coupled with the awful service, the bland Lahmacun which lacked enough of a topping to give it any flavour and finally a meagre halep that was more pitta than meat. I was left disappointed. Which is a shame, as I later tried one of our groups Donner meat from their kebab, and it was quite delicious, as were the chips that came with the food, these were very well cooked. So I give them a below average rating which would have been a one star had I'd gone in in my own with that service, as I would have left without buying anything. Also as my dishes were below average, my food rating is a two, but they get the additional star for the quality of the meat and the fact that the rest of the group enjoyed...

I didn’t like the food there. I ordered food but instead of shіsh lamb, they put me so much bread inside with tomato pasta. I was so shocked. I open a box to eat lamb shish which instead of nice big chunks there were small slices of lamb and instead of meat a lot of saggy bread with tomato pasta. They didn’t mention that in the menu that there is a tomato pasta in that dish. I have high acidity and can't eat tomato pasta at all. It was a total surprise for me when I came home and open a meat box. The salad was old. I threw it away. The only thing I like from the entire meal is the rice, fresh bread and Greek yogurt. That’s it. I don’t recommend this place. A waste of money. Don’t bother to come there. They will be cheating on you to give you not a fresh salad and a lot of saggy bread in tomato pasta instead of meat....

**UPDATE per owners response. This is incorrect, my wife has ordered to the same address before. Why would I say the food is good if I’ve never tried it before?! Owner should take accountability for poor service here. I’m not the only one this has happened to - check other reviews.

Trying to place an Uber eats order here is hit and miss!

They have cancelled my order on multiple occasions. Even more frustrating when you’re waiting for some time, only for the order to then be cancelled!

Never experienced this issue with any other restaurant on Uber eats.
