Possibly Croydons best kept secret. If you are looking for an Italian experience that is all over sized pepper grinders and red and white chequered table cloths then perhaps it is not for you but if you want an authentic slice of Italian café life then seek this place out.

My favourite spot for superb coffee and food that is the definition of home cooked. You will pay twice as much for portions half the size and of a much poor quality of ingredients in numerous supposedly top notch restaurants when compared to the food on offer here.

Also there is a small delicatesen section, offering a selection of high quality, gluten free products.

Perhaps the single negative is given its compact size then it does not have a public loo but that has also allowed the owner to nurture a genuine community atmosphere with a loyal customer base, many of whom come on a daily basis along with others who go out of their...

This is the Best better than all the rest! Proper authentic Italian food. At the moment it's like the othe places take out only. But you can take out practically anything! You are spoilt for choice. Nonna Rosa's Café is a very friendly café and deli in Coulsdon that I've been visiting for years now and it's always a treat. I usually go for lunch there and whether I've picked one of the pasta dishes, salads, or panini I've always been very happy with the delicious food. I've also spent a very cheerful afternoon there enjoying the afternoon tea, an impressive spread of sandwiches, cakes and other goodies - the home-made cakes are recommended whatever the occasion, too!
