No point ordering from these guys, they ALWAYS run out of food. It doesn’t matter what time I call they never have anything available, for example just the other day I called in early evening around 5/6 to ask if there’s any oxtail available, the woman on the phone said no so I asked if there was any stew chicken again the lady said no. Continued going down the list until I finally gave up.
I’ve been recommended to try One Love by a friend, couple of months ago as apparently the food is really nice. However me as a potential new customer can’t testify to that, purely based on the fact that EVERYTIME I’ve attempted to make an order, they never have any of the main dishes which most people will visit a carribean restaurant for in stock. Considering the fact that I’ve been calling at least once/twice a week for a couple of months now with no luck in being able to order any food is disgraceful.
By looking at previous reviews it looks like this out of stock business has been going on for years, the fact that it seems to be a continuous problem, just goes to show how incompetent whoever is managing this business is. It doesn’t take someone with a masters in business to get fundamental business principles such as supply and demand right. Considering the fact that there seems to be a high demand in certain dishes it only takes common sense to provide higher stock to meet this demand. The fact that even until this day One Love seems to still be struggling with supply and demand just goes to show that customer feedback regarding stock is going in one ear and out the other. Action speak louder than words, constantly apologising to customers for being out of stock and always making empty promises that more stock will be ordered is not going to win over new customers.
This is literally the first take away service where I had to call in advance to see if any food is left, facing continuous disappointment. It is humiliating, I dread to imagine how many more potential sales this business is losing over a long term period, due to something so mediocre like running out of food way too early before peak hours (4/5pm when everyone finishes work). The fact that I have been trying to order food for months, despite continuous disappointment this take away (if I can even call it that) is lucky because most new customers after their second or third attempt would of given up time ago. I’m sure there is equally high demand in other take aways in the area such as Chinese, Indian, Italian etc however I’ve never had any problems with food shortage in other places.
I wish I could support this business however, I officially give up on trying. Clearly there is no effort to re adjust to consumer demand. Very poor...
Read moreOrder for home delivery made 9pm, told one hour. 10.05pm called to chase, told another half hour, no reason given. At 10.30pm called again to say, if not with me by 10.45pm don't bother, as I don't want cold, old food. At 10.40pm received call saying in all reality, they won't make it for 10.45. Received a few apologies, and pointless explanations about driver problems but not once was I offered anything to make up for my wasted time and inconvenience. Not even a complimentary pattie to say sorry (customer service at its finest). By 11.15pm, we were eating a reasonable meal from another restaurant!! When are we EVER going to get things right?? I try to support...this had been my 5th attempt. Every other time they didn't have any of the menu items and we went down the menu until we gave up. This time, we seemed to catch the last of the meals as all they had left was fish, so can't get what on earth could have been the problem. For the sake of retaining a new customer, they could have put it in a cab! I believe that they sold the food and just fobbed us off for almost 2 hours. So very very disappointed. What's the point in trying to support the few black businesses that we do have, when this is the outcome? Fix up. It's really NOT...
Read moreI am very sceptical when it comes to buying Jamaican food because I think they tend to cut it short by not cooking the authentic way. But boy, If I could give One Love Caribbean restaurant more than five stars, I absolutely would! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere transported me straight to the heart of the Caribbean. The food was an absolute explosion of flavours, each dish bursting with the authentic taste of Jamaica. The curried goat was rich and savoury, cooked the true authentic Jamaican way, not to mention the fried chicken, the best so far. However, what truly elevated this dining experience was the exceptional service we received, courtesy of the remarkable manager and staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was exceptional. This Jamaican gem has won me over, and I can't wait to return for another heavenly dining experience! If you're looking for an unforgettable taste of ‘real‘Jamaican cooking with top-notch service, this restaurant is an...
