I was disappointed with this place. I got the Gov'ner with Chicken. I asked the guy at the counter (I think he was the owner) if the special sauce has mayo or ketchup in it and he said no. The description of the burger has no mention of mayo but when I got the burger, it was like a chicken piece in sauce rather than a burger with some sauce on it. It was like a Iskendar kebab. Its wasnt something you could eat like a burger. I dont eat mayo so that's why im disappointed. I couldnt eat the burger. I tried to but I just couldn't. it was like naan gohst (Indian curry with bread). It was extremely messy and it was all just slipping apart. I tried to eat it by taking it a part but the amount of sauce and mayo, It was just too much. I could taste that the chicken was nice but the mayo just put me off and I had to throw it away. I will go back again but this time I will ask them to not put mayo and only a tiny bit of sauce. I like burgers that have a lot of marinade on it but this was over the top Edit. After the owner responded and said it states it has mayo in it on the menu, I had a look at the menu. In the menu board above the counter it says it has mayo but the blackboard on the side wall I'm the shop doesn't mention anything about mayo. I've attached a picture of the blackboard and you can see for yourself. That's the board I looked at and chose what I wanted to eat. The owners says that board wasn't there when I went to the shop so im just making it up. That's just rude. It's on the wall on the right hand side of the shop above the tables. Why would I lie about it. If that board said it had mayo in it, then I would have asked for it without mayo. I saw another burger on the same board which says it has mayo in it and I deliberately avoided that one. It's called Billie jean. The owner says I said the sauce is curry sauce. I haven't said that anywhere. I'm just saying that there was so much sauce, it's like eating a curry. I will probably go back at some point and I hope it will be to my liking. I'll post my review then and give rating accordingly. Owners should take all custom reviews as constructive criticism. You won't please everybody so don't be...
Read moreRoadhouse Grill: Burgers With Bite (Almost!), a Romford Review
Calling all burger enthusiasts! I recently ventured into Roadhouse Grill in Romford and, well, let's just say my taste buds did a little tap dance. The Beef and Chicken Combo burger meal stole the show: a juicy symphony of patty perfection layered with savory chicken, all nestled in... (here's where things get a tad tricky).
Where the Flavor Sings:
Patty Power: Both the beef and chicken patties were seasoned to perfection, cooked to a satisfyingly juicy medium, and delivered a flavor punch that had me humming happy burger tunes. They were the undisputed stars of the show. Filling Fiesta: This burger wasn't messing around. The combo of beef and chicken was generous, ensuring even the hungriest of souls would leave satisfied. Think, "one burger to rule them all" kind of vibes.
The (Slight) Bun Bummer:
While the fillings were a glorious anthem, the burger buns themselves were, unfortunately, a bit of a downer. They weren't bad, mind you, but they lacked the same level of care and quality as the juicy goodness within. Think supermarket standard rather than artisan bakery. It felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the entire experience.
The Final Verdict:
Roadhouse Grill's Beef and Chicken Combo burger is a delicious adventure for your taste buds. The combination of flavors and the substantial size are sure to hit the spot. Just be prepared for a slight bun letdown – think of it as a minor imperfection in an otherwise fantastic performance.
Overall: 4 out of 5 stars (would be 5 with a bun upgrade!)
Recommendation: Definitely try this burger
I hope this review helps you decide whether Roadhouse Grill's combo burger is your next...
Read moreI added this place to the Google maps as it was missing.
We came across this on looking for a decent halal restaurant. I cant remember where I saw it but decided to give it a try.
Located off Whalebourne Lane on High road.
Burgers, chicken and chicken wings, pizza restaurant.
No parking near the restaurant from what I could tell.
Cash only and no cash point immediately near restaurant. Nearest free cash point sainsburys.
We ordered all three flavours of wings, they didn't have the double jointed wings so replaced it with flat wings which were kind of small.
They have a very good selection of table sauces. In the format of nandos they have various styles of sauces to grab, pay first.
Pricing was ok.
The buffalo flavour was not very nice at all, very salty.
BBQ flavour was decent.
The best of the flavours was the peri peri wings.
We ordered their patty burgers. Flavours was nice but patty was overcooked. The brioche buns were over toasted in parts.
The best thing was the pizza chips. We didn't have high expectation for it. However, imagine a margherita pizza minus the dough with chips. It is very nice.
The owners seemed very nice and wanted feedback. They also have suggestion cards.
Decor is American style bench seating, retro design of cars.
My suggestion will to be consistent and test the flavours. Find what works best and stick to it.
Social media game is very poor, especially if restaurant cant even be found on Google. Appreciate they must be new. But these things are...
