Bon Appetit — Restaurant in London

Very nice people, Turkish, fast efficient service. I come in here to feed, rest and read the book I'm reading at the time I carry in my 6 replacement pack multibag 2 or 3 times a week, I live nearby. Very cheerful staff, a classic London Cafe. No complaints. Food well cooked and professional. Sort of a Transport Cafe, Take Away ( inc through covid right now ( 2nd lockdown inc. from Wed 5th Nov 2020) ), ( no deliveries, sorry ), Dinner and Licenced restaurant all rolled into one. Its the cafes and restaurants who can perform more than 1 role like this that are surviving the high street massacre from our 4 strains of covid right now too. Some things, cannot go online! Went to this cafe, and ordered a bacon and mushroom toasted sandwich and cappuccino. The menu text print was not clear as it was extremely tiny no good for the elderly. The cappuccino was cold and not to a good temperature. The food felt rushed and not tasty whatsoever it felt sloppy and felt like I never really ate anything, I did not complain as I was in a rush. On a side note, I felt as if I was not wanted there as the worker and customers were continuing stare. Not a warm welcome or atmosphere. Avoid at all costs. What a surprise. Not the type of establishment I normally go to, but a friend took me in. It well deserves its 5 stars, as it was excellent value for money, friendly with good service. Thought I would test them: had roast beef with all the trimmings & liver & bacon, wasn't quite a Toby Inn, but all was good quality fair, with fresh veg and speedy service; the gravy was by a well known 'argh _' not my preference, I'm more GRamsy.
