It should warrant four stars for its garden tables looking over the expanding restoration of the walled vegetable garden that has taken place in recent years but I can't bring myself to give it more than three stars because every time there's a crowd (ie holiday weekends or sunny days) they resort to paper cups. So you pay the pot of tea price for the much lesser experience of a paper cup. Unsustainable and not at all the experience or philosophy that the National Trust stands for....

Read moreOrdered a mocha and hot chocolate. The drinks were warm, not hot. I mentioned to them that they had not prepared the milk correctly and basically told me I did not know what I was talking about. Milk screeches when steamed. They could not even be bothered to stir the drinks, especially the hot chocolate, so warm milk sitting on a base of the choc mix.
