Nice well kept cafe called Orangery cafe. They have a separate room just for families with dogs too. And ample seating outside too with a great view of the lush gardens. Can be quite busy during weekends. Not to many vegetarian or vegan items to eat however. There is free parking to visit the national Trust site however can not dine at the cafe without paying for entrance if not a member.

No place to sit, very cold food, extremely overpriced. A vegetable bun was £14 which I switched for a bagel after I noticed; a scotch egg was about £8, and everything was too cold to be eaten. Ridiculous and totally a rip off. The photo I’m attaching costed £59.

Customer-friendly cafe in one of the oldest Orangeries. I love the idea that they use as many produce as many they can from their own kitchen garden! Unfortunately the building is coverd with wisteria.

It should warrant four stars for its garden tables looking over the expanding restoration of the walled vegetable garden that has taken place in recent years but I can't bring myself to give it more than three stars because every time there's a crowd (ie holiday weekends or sunny days) they resort to paper cups. So you pay the pot of tea price for the much lesser experience of a paper cup. Unsustainable and not at all the experience or philosophy that the National Trust stands for....

You have to pay £14 for a ticket to even enter the cafe, which is outrageous.

I just wanted to go to the cafe and had borrowed my Dad's National Trust membership (as he never uses it) which would have gotten me in for free, but because I am not a man and the membership says "Mr xx" on it, I was called out and not allowed in. Ticketing system is stupid because my Brother, or any other male, could have used my Dad's membership and wouldn't have been...

Ordered a mocha and hot chocolate. The drinks were warm, not hot. I mentioned to them that they had not prepared the milk correctly and basically told me I did not know what I was talking about. Milk screeches when steamed. They could not even be bothered to stir the drinks, especially the hot chocolate, so warm milk sitting on a base of the choc mix.

Nice setting in the vegatable Garden and nice walk...
