Great example of don't judge a book by its cover. This was the last dinner before leaving London the next day and it was excellent. I have walked by this place a few times and was curious about the high rating. Even though it was a one time visit I can see how this is a neighborhood staple. The chicken dumplings are juicy so watch out. The special fried rice was indeed special in that it was light and not heavy feeling at all. The Kung pao chicken paired well with the rice as well. And finally the curry sauce was a total win. Anyone not a local who does not know, I highly recommend grabbing a side of that sauce with your meal. It's a game changer. It was odd that while waiting for the food there was no smell of the rice or sauces which is typical in the US. Maybe the vents are much better. Once you open the dishes though, it's game on.
