Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in London

We are having our kitchen refitted, so no cooking for a few weeks. So we order a couple of pizzas for home delivery and 1 hour after the confirmation email, we still haven't received them. So I try to telephone them only to have the phone ring and ring, with no one answering it. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, I finally decide to change from lounge wear into other clothes, and get in the car to go down to the store to see why our dinner has been delayed so much. As I'm pulling out the driveway, I see a car pull up and the driver comes up to our house with the pizzas. He doesn't apologise for the delay and my queries about the delay and the fact no one answered the phone were met with excuses about lack of staff on a very busy day. From now on, I will be using their competition, seeing as the one time they were 45 minutes late due to a broken down oven, we were offered dough balls and a coke as a token of apology. Chicken sides were nice but everything else was pretty awful. Garlic bread, dips, pizza and tater tots have made me feel extremely sick, we have eaten 1 slice each and that’s all. Called the shop to explain, manager was so unhelpful and kept saying ‘it’s your problem, your taste must have changed’. This is my first order with Papa Johns and I will not order again. We explained that we don’t want a refund for the entire order as the chicken was nice, but the entire rest of the order totalling £60 was terrible. The manager continued to say that it’s our problem and he’s not going to do anything about it. Absolutely disgraceful branch and staff. I would give a zero star rating if it was possible however a 1 star was given.

As a loyal customer I have never seen such shocking customer service of late. The store was once good but then it's rapidly gone downhill.

The store doesn't follow the deals advertised and what they offer doesn't makes no sense. If you go to the store you can be offered a XXL pizza for £11.99 but if you want a delivery you can only have a Large for the exact same price?? Really?

Staff have since maintained their same level of disinterest and with that attitude I'm surprised anyone would wish to order from them. It's worth shopping around for other pizza providers as the prices are getting steeper and the quality is sub standard. AVOID...
