Pepperon Cafe — Restaurant in London

It's OK just to have a small bite and coffee, but be warned they have complained in the past that next time we need to "order more" because they have other people who want to sit down and will order more (theres was no one waiting and also empty tables at the time ?) so does that mean they turn you away based on what you spend or what you can afford if they have prior knowledge or judegement of a person ? Quite discriminatory practise . I wait to go to a place a couple of times to give honest review. Most staff are ok but always like they are reluctant to do their jobs. Some are quite young and snooty , no people skills and speak to locals like they don't understand and their business is lesser than . Not many non pork options for breakfast etc . Music was very loud in there had to shout over my coffee and it seemed the staff or their friends where eating next ro us and quite noisy and not considerate of other people around them.

The food is OK but not the best in local area compared to other places like Mike's Cafe , prices not reflective of products i.e sandwiches are made on normal sliced bread.

Edit I response to establishments reply - It's not a dishonest review and actually you have other very low reviews from tourists and locals about the staff ,food ,and general experience. Cafè s come and go around here so please stop trying to attack people leaving reviews and accusing them of not being "honest" when the details in the bad reviews are all similar so stop calling reviews dishonest when different reviews are telling you the same thing to improve on ,work on it or just continue to ve rude and ignorant and see where that...

Very unprofessional and arrogant staff. Especially the woman who seemed to be incharge of the coffee shop. I went to this coffee place for a coffee and cake with a friend. We sat at the table and we were given the beverage menu and I said we were there for coffee and cake. The staff person didn't say anything and left us. As we were choosing our hot drinks, another staff member came to the table and when we asked for hot drinks and cakes, she said 'we don't serve coffee now, only food.' There were free tables it was 3.30 in the afternoon. We asked why we could not have a coffee and she was very hostile and very unprofessional. She didn't apologised. We were surprised but left. Outside there were more tables, and some people were drinking only coffee. We asked someone, if they were just served coffee and they said yes. We explained to them that the staff refused to serve us coffee and cake, and were surprised.

I went back inside and spoke to the person who seemed incharge, to make a complaint. She just said "leave, you are disturbing the customers". She then grabbed me by the arm and took me outside and told I was banned from the place!!! I was in utter shock. And felt descriminated. Both my friend and I left and felf very embarrassed,. There were many people sitting there. I was tearful. I didn't especially like the way she grabbed my arm. This is an unforgettabe experience. l wouldn't recommend this place to...

I forgot my sunglasses in Pepperon and once I noticed that I called them to keep it until my next visit. I was confronted by the staff that my sunglasses will be safely kept.

I visited the cafe on 08.03.2022 to collect my sunglasses and I respectfully waited the line in front of the cashier to tell my story. When I was in front of the cashier, I said "Hi" and started to explain but suddenly my speech was interrupted by the lady taking the payments "Just tell me your table number". She was not listening to me at all and this attitude was extremely disrespectful.

After she let me to explain what happened, she said there are lost and founds and random people can come and take it..they may have given my sunglasses to someone else etc. I was shocked because she did not ask how look like my sunglasses at all, she did not communicate with other stuff what could happen and she was not helping at all and the excuses she listed was complete disgrace. She opened and closed some shelves pretending looking for my sunglasses but I stopped asking for it after such a disrespectful attitude.

I have no problem with Pepperon and the food was delicious when we visited however the attitude from this lady was really disappointing. I hope, owner of the cafe would consider my review to assure his/her business is represented by well behaved staff listens their...
