We were excited to try Conscience Kitchen on a Saturday morning, but left feeling that the experience didn’t quite live up to the promise. The space itself is charming and well-located, and the service was friendly—but things felt a bit disorganized.
We waited over an hour for our food, which tested our patience. The shakshouka was tasty, and the warm, fresh bread was a highlight. Unfortunately, the steak dish was underwhelming—bland, undercooked, and served with a sauce that lacked any real flavor.
We arrived at 10am, only to be told that many of the sweet dishes weren’t available yet, as they were still baking. It’s a surprising limitation for a weekend brunch spot. A tip: you might be better off visiting later in the day when the full menu is (hopefully) available.
Also worth noting: the beautifully curated Instagram, which drew us in, hasn’t been updated in quite some time—and most of the dishes featured there weren’t available during our visit. It left us with the impression that the kitchen may have lost a bit of its earlier spark.
All in all, a lovely setting, but the food and overall experience didn’t quite rise to...
Read moreI recently went to brunch with friends at the Conscience Kitchen . From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality by the loving and attentive staff.
The restaurant is truly authentic, with traditional Egyptian dishes you could hope for, but with a beautiful and unique twist that sets it apart from other restaurants in the area. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the careful preparation that went into each dish.
One thing that really stood out to me was the manager's ambition for the restaurant. It's clear that they have big plans for the future and are committed to making this a top dining destination in London. I have no doubt that they will succeed - the food, the atmosphere, and the service are all top-notch.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or just looking to try something new, this is definitely a place you won't want to miss.
I would highly recommend the...
Read moreI found this place on my trip to London a couple of weeks ago and the vegan food option was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It was a Middle Eastern, thick lentil soup with fresh herbs and garlic bread on top. Even though it’s not a vegan restaurant, the vegan option is absolutely delightful! I actually came here twice on the same day: First for a coffee and a vegan croissant (the coffee was also one of the best I’ve had in London), and then I came back for lunch. The menu is created every day I guess and the place has a very cosy vibe in Nottinghill. I was received with so much love. The owner was very kind, packed the rest of my food that I couldn’t finish, and even brought me to the door, helping with my luggage before leaving for the airport. It was the loveliest way to finish my trip in London and I highly recommend stopping by, when you‘re exploring Nottinghill and the Portobello Market. Thank you for your hospitality, kindness, and...
