I’ve been coming almost everyday for 5+ years, over the last week Perky have gained a new male staff.

I’m surprised by the poor level of hygiene, lack of appropriate uniform and customer service.

Overall I find this person quite aggressive and challenging when talking to customers and takes a passive aggressive approach when questioned.

No excuse for hygiene when it comes to dirty hands and nails is something to do with the individual.

With uniform it should be very clear from the start to wear the appropriate clothing as you’re representing the brand.

Myself, and a few other members of the community that live close no longer wish to come again. This is disappointing and should be taken very seriously especially now the bagels company have left and also noticed the wonderful Laura too, who in my option made wonderful coffee and overall lovely!

If you wish to discuss this further, and have our take on this I’m more than happy for you to get in touch at your earliest...

Dropped by Perky Blenders - Project 660 for a quick coffee and it hit the spot. The space is tiny with just a couple of stalls inside and a few tables outside, so it feels more like a curated specialty shop with a coffee machine than a full-on cafe. They’ve got loads of interesting things for sale too, from coffee beans and equipment to cards, plants, snacks and canned drinks.

They also partner with a bagel brand and it looks like food is made fresh from the kitchen, which is a nice touch. The staff was friendly and my double espresso was £3, which is pretty much standard for London.

I thought about pulling out my laptop here but I’m glad I saved that for another cafe nearby. There are only two seats inside right by the entrance and window, and while I did spot some sockets I’m not sure how laptop friendly this place really is. Perfect for grabbing a coffee and browsing their selection, not so much for...

Come on Perky, I bought bag of your Xmas coffee in Dec and it had been roasted the day before. I bought a bag of something else yesterday and it had been roasted 2 days before. How and why are these even on your shelves?? Why am I being sold coffee that I then have to rest for a week or two before it's worth drinking?

I don't think their coffee is particularly interesting either, but that is of course subjective. But having bags of coffee that hasn't been given time to rest on the shelves is something I've not seen in literally any other specialist coffee shop in the world. I'm buying coffee to drink that day, not to wait a week or two to drink. Both times I've had to go and find other beans so as not to just end up drinking bland, green tasting cups and wasting what I've bought.

2 stars cos your staff are always...

This is my first time trying Perky Blenders in Leyton. I was greeted by a big beaming smile before I even got through the door. Good start. I like the raw stripped back decor in here. The walls and floor are chipboard and you can see the roasting machine in the back. The barista was really friendly and made an effort to chat. The coffee tasted good although it was slightly over extracted and too hot. That being said I’m being overly critical because I’d definitely come back. Although Deeney’s down the road make better coffee (tough to match them as they use the fabulous Allpress coffee), Perky blenders comes in at a close second in Leyton. Solid 4 stars.

Perky Blenders coffee is great and this is a nice little stop off in Leyton Midland Road (not the most picturesque area...). We got our sandwiches on a half price introductory deal, otherwise they are pretty expensive, although they are well filled and delicious 😋 so worth more than the average sandwich. Coffees are the small, artisan type rather than long Costa style affairs, so great if you really want a local, great tasting caffeine hit! Staff are friendly, hepful and pretty efficient.
