I’ve been coming almost everyday for 5+ years, over the last week Perky have gained a new male staff.
I’m surprised by the poor level of hygiene, lack of appropriate uniform and customer service.
Overall I find this person quite aggressive and challenging when talking to customers and takes a passive aggressive approach when questioned.
No excuse for hygiene when it comes to dirty hands and nails is something to do with the individual.
With uniform it should be very clear from the start to wear the appropriate clothing as you’re representing the brand.
Myself, and a few other members of the community that live close no longer wish to come again. This is disappointing and should be taken very seriously especially now the bagels company have left and also noticed the wonderful Laura too, who in my option made wonderful coffee and overall lovely!
If you wish to discuss this further, and have our take on this I’m more than happy for you to get in touch at your earliest...

The space is tiny with just a couple of stalls inside and a few tables outside, so it feels more like a curated specialty shop with a coffee machine than a full-on cafe. They’ve got loads of interesting things for sale too, from coffee beans and equipment to cards, plants, snacks and canned drinks.

I thought about pulling out my laptop here but I’m glad I saved that for another cafe nearby. There are only two seats inside right by the entrance and window, and while I did spot some sockets I’m not sure how laptop friendly this place really is. Perfect for grabbing a coffee and browsing their selection, not so much for...
Read moreCome on Perky, I bought bag of your Xmas coffee in Dec and it had been roasted the day before. I bought a bag of something else yesterday and it had been roasted 2 days before. How and why are these even on your shelves?? Why am I being sold coffee that I then have to rest for a week or two before it's worth drinking?
I don't think their coffee is particularly interesting either, but that is of course subjective. But having bags of coffee that hasn't been given time to rest on the shelves is something I've not seen in literally any other specialist coffee shop in the world. I'm buying coffee to drink that day, not to wait a week or two to drink. Both times I've had to go and find other beans so as not to just end up drinking bland, green tasting cups and wasting what I've bought.
2 stars cos your staff are always...
