Tired of Pret/Benugo and exploring the area, this is definitely the best option if you want a solid lunch/breakfast. Not ideal if you need to sit down to work with a laptop but solid if you need food and a friendly chat

Tough one to rate, was this the best bagel I’ve ever had? No. But was it exactly what I was expecting, yes. The place just feels honest and genuine and the staff is just so friendly. Will deff come back.

Where do I start.... after my colleague came to the office with an omelette from here, I decided to call aswell (like he had) to collect a mushroom omelette... Yes that's me habibi.

First of all, I was told by the lady on the phone 'He doesn't want to take an order over the phone'... Weird.

So, went downstairs, where the cafe is located to my office and went to order.. 'Can I have a mushroom omelette please?'

To be met by a confused man, who looked around and said 'we don't have that' .. strange. Somebody JUST got one from here to minutes ago.

So, apart from poor customer service, lazy comes to mind, not bothered about custom other than the microwaved curry he was serving to people that were seated in the smelly cafe. Unkept man with zero customer service skills.

Maybe they're good at cheap offcuts of meat in a roll which I didn't want, other than...

Great Place, Lovely Food, Lovely Staff - You Must Visit !!!

Piazza next to Barbican Station is lovely place to buy lunch. Visited twice in November and December 2020 and both times really good. Chicken Curry + Rice was fab, loads of tender chicken, and only £4.95. Had a jacket potato before with tuna & sweetcorn and the owner added a side salad - again really lovely. Keep wanting to try the chill con carne but it's always sold out, it must be really good !!! - Please pay him a visit and buy something if you're passing the area as I know that lockdown has been tough for small owned food businesses like him, even if you only buy a soft drink or crisps, it all helps...

Ruined my entire DAY!!! WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD. PLEASE DON'T GO. SERVICE IS DISGUSTING. Went there to get a sandwich and here's what happened:

when queuing, the owner cuts the line and takes the order of his regular customer who was standing behind me!!! (BIG RED FLAG);

then when I ordered my sandwich, he RACIALLY ABUSED ME BY OFFERING A CHINESE SAUCE (WHICH I HAD NO IDEA), BASED ON MY ASIAN LOOK. THEN HE LAUGHED AND SAID "OH YOU DON'T KNOW?!".

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! CAN'T BELIEVE YOU RUN A BUSINESS...
