A small and very traditional pub provided an enjoyable evening drink. The bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and there’s a good range of drinks on offer. It’s also great that they have a wine tasting machine - purchase a card and dispense as much or little of each bottle to sample different varieties. Just a shame there weren’t many bottles included. The atmosphere is relaxing, with no background music and the small size means there isn’t much chatter. Toilets are upstairs along with another space.

Read moreVery much a 'City (of London)' pub but with unusually (in my experience for a 'City' pub) a classy and congenial rather than 'showy' ambience. The clientele says it all : apparently no loud revelling young 'OTT' bank and insurance bods here. A good place for an evening drink. Especially if you have a week spot for their excellent "La Chouffe" Belgian beer : but at 8% you need to go easy as it goes very easily indeed. The food offer is limited and a bit pricey : but very contemporarily trendy. Would I patronise again ? Yes : and I would go out of my way to do so if I was anywhere...

Internally the bar in general is a quality blend of modernised heritage. The dark polished floor& broad skylight set against modernised bench seating & mirrored walls to create a sense of space within a relatively simple box layout.
