Desperate to find an Italian that had Veal on its menu in the Tottenham area and was open at 3.00 pm yesterday, I could this restaurant. So travelled from Tottenham to Hornsey Village. Attended by waitress who was very nice and ordered Scallopini. Arrived not as described, the veal was pan fried and overdone, should have had.a mushroom sauce, but not supplied. I asked for the sauce which the cook brought within 2 minutes, however it was just bland. No seasoning and no noticeable wine flavour. Plenty of roasted vegetables and salad, but chips were a disappointing frozen variety.
Overall, what could and should have been a satisfying meal was let down by limited ability of the chef. I am a great lover of veal, and often order it when I can, unfortunately, this was the worst I have ever had.
Maybe I was unlucky on the day because it's got a 4.6 rating. With what I received I find...

Pizza had a thin crust with nice charring, but was very greasy and lacked fresh basil.
Veal Milanese was slightly overcooked, quite greasy, and under-seasoned. It had the traditional accompaniment of capelli d'angelo served with a tomato sauce, which was quite nice.
Veal with mushroom and cream sauce was a generous portion that came with potatoes and vegetables. The sauce was pretty good, but the potatoes were slightly undercooked and the veal was very overcooked.
One guest had a seafood risotto, which had a good flavour, although not all of the mussels had opened, and the prawns hadn't been de-shelled (head still on is fine, but shell still on is a bit sloppy).
Overall, the meal was perfectly passable, but not more than that. I wouldn't recommend it, but nor would I go out of my way to dissuade...

Unfortunately for my family we all moved away but for years this place has never let us down in quality if service and excellent food. Just before Christmas this year 2019 my brother in law and I came back to horsey to visit an old friend and after a nice afternoon of alcohol we decided to come back to Pomodoro before heading home, the Americana and the Calzone are highly recommended along with the house red wine. very nice indeed. the prices are very reasonable too. I'm happy to travel 20 plus miles just to come here for this kind of quality in...
